  • 3:10 Owned!

  • Our children go to school to learn how nature works, to communicate with one another. they are not taught how to financially survive. And the parents probably working 40-60 hours a week, and have no time to teach these kids manners, or compassion and love. Then whose job is it to teach about compassiona and love? the media?? Because thats all kids watch nowadays.

  • this movie is widely inaccurate and cruel to the Ju people. they were not even living like this when the movie was filmed in fact they were exploited for it. the lead bushman character had never hunted in his life! this move is nothing but ethnocentrism.

  • @preston9019 Or it's just a comedy and you need to chill out.

  • @MightyNeonFraa you should go tell the san to chill out see how that goes.

  • EPIC NIG NOGGIN BULLSHIT ON HERE.

  • this is probably one of the best comedies i have ever seen! such a great classic!

  • @MrCaveman366 this is not meant to be a comedy, it is a critic to society... but the dumbed down society we have today can't even understand that.

  • @Mircose And yet, I'm sure, you would never of think of living any other way...

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!

  • @greenone SAME HERE!

  • @greenone SAME HERE!

  • While this movie has some good points, it does paint a very distorted picture of the Ju/'hoansi. The Ju in the 1980's were not an "untouched" people, contact with outsiders (from Europe and other parts of Africa) began in the late 19th century and increased in the 1960's.

For anyone who has a real interest in learning about the Ju/'hoansi, I recommend reading Richard Lee's "The Dobe Ju/'hoansi". It is a more accurate portrait of the Ju.

  • its cool that it is an actual language, i didnt realize it. still.. it sounds funny to me. i can appreciate it tho, so thanks!

  • This is a great movie but a what cost? This movie ruined their peaceful and loving lifes.

  • @J0AN100 How? Many Ju/'hoansi bushmen had already been exposed to alot of Western culture by 1980. In fact, many of the actors who play bushmen in this movie were unfamiliar to the life they were meant to portray. N!xau, for instance, was a bush farmer.

  • @OnkelMickwald true but still

  • next time he should drop a 6-pack of bear

  • @kennyIsDead226 lolol

  • its hard not to laugh when they are talking because of the strange clicking/sucking noises that is dubbed over, yet under the naration.. soo funny!

  • @stingass umm thats the bushmam's language its one of the first languages ever created

  • @stingass yeah, that is an actual language, it's not just an overdub.

  • @stingass that must be a khoisan language

  • Awww lol! That evil thing-it.

  • I already watch this film and this is very....... um...... a little yucky film.... haha.... I hate the sexy body but I like this film so much...... THX :D <3

  • these have got to be the most kind , innocent, people on the planet. Did anyone notice, THEY HATE ANY FORM OF VIOLENCE. and the Calahari people are a real people. Some must think this is fake~(it isnt~) and i agree w/ (BRIMOBKORPS)~ that IS F**ked up~all that money~they EXPLOITED these ppl 4 "our" entertainment~

  • i don't know why this isn't the #1 fumiest movie of all time

  • Should have tried the pepsi challenge

  • well sure its all perfect there in that tribe but the only problem id have... is that there is no real progress... they still live just like their great great great great great great great grandfathers... some people might think thats great but i dont think it is...

  • @bartieboy93 If you were born into that tribe, you would think about it a very different way. Progress is made because of man's selfishness and urge to gain more and more (although the growing population is part of it), and it is not past a certain point. I believe that we've pretty much passed this "certain point". Perhaps it should have stopped with the development of agriculture.

  • @wc1hater yea yea i get your point... and its true... what are they living for? isnt that just about what we live for? to build things etc? sure we wouldnt have that if we were born there, but they live in good conditions, they dont need have fur to make it trough the winter, or a sturdy house to protect them from the hard rains etc.

and to make those things you need rare materials! like nails, or an axe to cut the trees... maybe its possible there, but not in europe etc

  • 9:29 She's got some nice tits

  • 3:12 He fucked that snake up!

  • so its Coke Fault Right ?

  • He owned that snake!!

  • what's the name of the song at 5:26?

  • @indika91 It's probably just 70s stock music, and I don't think it was included on the released soundtrack.

  • Better with the vuvuzela.

  • ΑΠΟ ΤΙΣ ΚΑΛΥΤΕΡΕΣ ΤΑΙΝΙΕΣ

  • i wonder what there saying haha

  • This is such a great movie, very clever, very funny. I wish there were movies this good today...

  • tnx for uploading the video its my fave movie ever...

  • Haha lol their society are almost the same as ours without tv's n stuff and ofc less people.

  • A damn fine movie, educational, funny and truthful..

  • Oohhh this whole movie is about a coke bottle... A COKE BOTTLE, everything else is subplot.

  • how did u upload this?

  • @CrimeReport lol

  • Not knowing things can be healthier for you than being exposed additional information types of garbage that makes things more complicated for you when decision making comes in play..So sheltering your kids may not be such a bad idea....

  • That movie was funny as hell

  • This film was made in 1979 but for some reason it wasnt released until 1984.............I thought the cars in the scene at 6:56 looked old.

  • WHy are the guys who made it pretending like africans were peacefull before they got the bottles?. Africans have been killing each other since the dawn of time.

  • The different tribes fought each other, but there were no "civil wars".........the actual family groups were at peace. By 1900, the Zulus had all but destroyed the much smaller Kalahari bushman...their small size whaich enabled them to survive in the bush paradoxically made it easier for the Zulus. However, there was much fiction in this movie...the bushman had already encountered many foreign objects by 1980...one more would not have destroyed the harmony in the group.

  • This was a great movie....in fact, its probably the best thing ever to come out of Africa-the one thing it was not, was a comedy. Strip away the slapstick humour (which was a bit irritating) and it was a very serious film, dealing with issues like political instability, tribal v modern values and the problems with having a large continent divided into many countries. Yet out of this came one of the best low budget movies ever made...ray of hope coming from the country during a very dark time.

  • Arent all continest divided into multiple countries?.

  • 5:25 song name?

  • is this where obama was born?

  • Obama was born in Hawaii

  • Does that look like Hawaii to you?

Boy, we need to do a better job with our education system if you think this is Hawaii.

  • No these were his parents came from.

  • How old is this movie

  • @742mraustin The year of your mother.

  • How old is this movie

  • @742mraustin it was made at 1980. so.. it's 30 years old, even older than me XD

  • :)

    This is sublime.

  • was this just a moive or was it real.

  • @aceone1988 uuuuu a movie.....

  • Classic, bring the one in the corridor.

That line has been in my head since I every saw it, when I was younger

  • What city is that? Johannesburg?

  • I think Cape Town.

  • Yes, its Johannesburg.

  • ive seen this SOOOO MANY TIMES GROWING UP !!! Thats fucking lame how they ripped off the bushman like that !

  • They made a part 2 and he got alot more money i think.

  • Wikipedia: "Despite the film having grossed over $100 million worldwide, Nǃxau reportedly earned less than $2000 for his starring role"

    WTF

  • f---ing apartheid

  • didnt you see the film, what he going to do with money

  • they should educate him how to use money,

i bet they don't want to

  • no hes more educated than any single person on youtube

  • ^ now that's idiotic

  • yea but money is worthless to him

  • @brimobkorps N!xau: " These dry green skin pieces are excellent for fires."

  • @brimobkorps And then he got 20,000 later...

  • @brimobkorps if that is true it is so sad, because the movie itself displays such a brilliant message.

  • @brimobkorps I've seen a short docu on N!xau, and his life after the movie :s Quite aweful

  • its sad how xi die...

  • FUNNY!!!!!

  • This, along with Monty Python and the Holy Grail, is among the best movies I've ever seen.

  • Yes it is..........but what made you mention those two films in the same sentence?

The funny thing is.........I was thinking the same thing.

  • aw so THIS is wat i missed in meh geography class? wow.... wish i didn't fall asleep xD

  • As a kid, I watched this movie like what? a Thousand times maybe?

    I still have it :)

  • this is one of the wonderful movies i have ever seen, it is extremely thought provoking, it looks at our life from a very different perspective and should encourage looking at it that way

  • took the words right out of my mouth.

  • loved that movie :')

  • this is probably one of the most unforgettable funniest movies ever been made hahaha

  • hate jamie Uys. paying less to N!xau for starring roll

  • gotta love the city music.

  • lol its from the 80's

  • Capitalism in the raw!

  • I love how the woman drove to the mailbox that basically was across the street. That summed up how lazy us civilized people have become.

  • It's great to get a preview of such a great movie.

  • I hope he finds the end of the world!

  • Xi looks like Barak Obama.

And the old man looks like Redd Foxx.

    4:17. Obama policy meeting.

  • You are unecessarily insulting Jews and incorectly assuming that I am Jewish.

You have just exposed yourself to the world how narrow-minded and ridiculous you are.

  • It is your comment that is retarded. You are assuming that Amar is Jewish.I highly doubt that he is. I'd have my money on that he is either Bengali or Indian. Which mean he is either Muslim or Hindu (possibly Christian) but not Jewish.I myself am Muslim and I am highly offended by your remarks towards Jewish people.Maybe you should listen to Mom's advice from now on: "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." That would be wise, because you just made a fool out of yourself.

  • Thank you for your defense, but you are also assuming who I am :-) On Youtube people are suppossed to be anonomyous.

This has taught me two things:

    1) Peope instantly make assumptions

    2) How people will go to ridiculous lengths and say whatever to defend what they believe in instead of being critical and rational for a moment. In this case, SlashAndBurnz will say anything to defend President Obama.

Or perhaps it's the great comedian Redd Foxx. Now I am assuming things :-)

  • I apologize for assuming, but I was just taking your screen-name into account. I especially apologize if I offended you. Please forgive me. I cannot take back what I said earlier, but mayhap I can sort of rectify it by instead asking you what culture/nationality you are instead of presuming?

  • That is, if you don't mind - I am just a tad bit curious myself.

  • No worries, I was not offended at all. In fact, thank you very much for getting on my side :-)

I'm gonna keep my cultural background anonymous for now :-) because it doesn't really matter in this dialouge.

  • I remember first seeing this movie like 11 years ago damn!!

  • BOOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WHERE!?!!?

  • lol coke was sent from the gods
