  • What do you guys do with the steel inside of the tire?

  • ok that looks like fun for about the frist 20 tires then its time to find a mexican

  • So this is where the prom night dumpster baby's go!

  • I'm sorry, I have comment; does that knuckle mill sort out flesh from rubber? I saw that operator reach in the hopper at-least three times to grab a tire. You just do not do that without drawing back a bloody stump.

  • @Ukatech

I was the one operating the shredder in the video, the hopper on this machine is almost 3ft tall and my hands were nowhere near the knives. Also there was another person within one foot of the machines operator panel that could stop it at any time.

  • @Ukatech Yeah i kinda agree with ya,,having seen what happens when someone gets dragged into those things,,,,(not this particular machine) (large shredders in general) Makes ya think REAL hard about using a stick with a hook on it,,,,,if ya lose the stick,,,,no big issue,,,,lose an arm,oh yeah well ya got problems, Get dragged in,,,,in a few seconds ya wont have ANYTHING to worry about,,,Its just the thought of watching and feeling yourself being minced before it all ends that really bugs me,???

  • Well I stand corrected then. I learned a new thing today. The whole day wasn`t a waste then heheh. thanks dude. Thanks for the reply.

  • You can forget about doing this in winter .The tires would be hard as rock and it would jam that machine for sure. Great little outfit but winter would not be good on that machine.

  • @lewandlo We have a machine in Alpena Michigan which runs tires year round. Frozen tire actually shred easier. There is less friction because the rubber does not stretch as much. This makes the shearing action of the knives work more efficiently.

  • hay i have some questions for you is the steel been takin out of these tires or are they just put on and cut up and if so how would you take the steel out after

  • I like the idea of using tires as home building material. However most municipal building codes and property owners associations will not allow this type of home to be built.

  • If you like this video the check out earthsips, Hopefully this will change your attitude towards tires and recyceling

  • where are the steel wires go?

  • Not enough power in this one for tyres that big

  • Ironically, I have to dispose of my used condoms the same way.

  • @HigherWisdom You put them down the garbage disposal? lol

  • @HigherWisdom you dont have a pecker, how do you have condoms? you collect them from people?

  • I´d say it lacks power. But who am I anyway...

  • @nandoanalog you are a smart person

  • What is the producer of this device?

  • Another thing, do they produce granules for convenience of shipping (in pvc resin bags)? I was hoping to see granules instead of shreds. None the less its still fascinating.

  • wow. I am currently doing a research on this machine, its efficiency and the profit it yields.

  • How about shredding truck tires?

  • Maybe have to cut them first, with a straight shear type device, like an alligator shear, or modified vertical wood splitter with ram knife and receiver die block, etc.

  • Or do an auxiliary set of side pressing wheels, like two hour-glass drums, rotating, to make the truck tire narrow and long.

  • Those look like pretty big chunks coming out the other side. What would they be used for?

  • This model is for primary shredding it dose not have a classifier screen installed. we can up grade it with a Tommel screen to make 2" chip.

  • they used to be tires
