Okay. I have a western pleasure horse that basically stinks at doing showmanship. This means he's slow on trotting, backing up, and pivoting. It seems that your horse does it on a dime, though. How did you train/get him to be so "automatic" where you don't have to force him into a gait like I do my horse?
umm your horse is amazing...whenever i set my horse for the judge i feel like i always have to seddle with it cuz she takes a bit to get just right...yours you just did a few tweeks and it was perfect your lucky but guess i jus gotta keep working at it
Ok, first off, your horse has some great turning skills!!!!He was right on the money every time, i watched your pattern a couple of times and besides the little trotting problem(which i totally get)the only other thing i really didn't like was your back, you guys had great speed but, his head was really up. :( That's just what i saw and hey you learn from your mistakes and other peoples, and is it not true that the easist patterns are sometimes the hardest!
Thanks! (Not trying to sound defensive!) The back was a little rough but I was working on him backing without me pulling on the lead, which he did great. Then he unexpectedly folded up like an accordion, haha. I agree, the easiest ARE the hardest!!
Why would I do that? That isn't part of the pattern... again: READ THE DESCRIPTION. It will answer all your questions. If you have anything else, please ask. Have a good one!
Thank you! His name is Brightly Zippo and he is 12 years old. I am really sorry that your horse has a broken leg. Are you going to have to put him down or is it a non-weight bearing bone?
i don´t give him away. he become a very big field with another horses. i have him sice 7 years. he was a colt and his mother dead by his birth. i give him the bottle´s every day. i love my horse
NICE! love your horses's color! I have a sorrel mare...

No harm done, I totally get the backing without any pressure.(the whip it a great training tool.)lol

I agree, but it isn't for every horse.

Nice job ! I had to watch it twice to catch the couple of trot strides, but it's ok, the rest of the pattern was practically flawless !
