I think if you are "just" talking or telling us about things the HQ-SD-Stream does the job quite well;

But especially if you show things on your monitor or give tutorials (in close capture) I think HD is much better (for YouTube).

I personally liked the HD for youtube better. It's much cleaner and flows much nicer. It is too bad for your recordings, you couldn't save the HD feed locally and just the current for LIVE streaming. It would allow you to include the chat and graphics like you do on the live stream.. Just provide a TRUE 720 picture for us on youtube.

Try using a Tricaster by NewTek. It is a device that allows you to use your current set up, plug it into the Tricaster, and push studio quality productions out live. I LOVE them. Reasonably prices (5-7K to start), and lets ANYONE become their own live-event, production company. Best to you.

Chris, perhaps you should have gone with 720 x 400 to allow both directions to be multiples of 16 to improve codec efficiency. Also the chat seems strange with it being smaller, and since you're using widescreen now the chat could actually go down the side since some of the space either side of you is a bit wasted.

I like this kind of video. Although the HD videos were good, i still think i prefer it, from this angle, and with the chat log in the video. Now that is has a better quality it is much better.

With this angle, and type of video, it seems more confortable in a way. It is more, in-formal. Well that is what i feel. Like this i think it seems more relaxed, and MUCH MUCH better.
