This kinda reminds me of Diablo 2's ending.

A powerful demon (Archimonde/Baal) seeking to corrupt/gain power from an ancient object (World Tree/World Stone) on top of a mountain (Mt. Hyjal/Mt.Arreat), guarded by savage people (Night Elves/Barbarians), with Medivh's guidance the heroes of WC3 unite and defeat Archimonde, and with Tyrael's guidance the hero of Diablo 2 defeats Baal, but in the end the ancient objects are destroyed.

It's kind of dumb...Medivh makes this great speech, and then the writers seemed to forget about it when they introduced Me'dan into Warcraft, who has the specific purpose of succeeding Medivh. Man, this cinematic is so epic. Both Furion, Tyrande, Thrall and Jaina are epic heroes, and i love this where they put aside their differences to stand united against the legion. And Medivh, well, he was a true hero in warcraft 3. If it hadn't been for him, the world would be doomed today. Medivh was also the only human Deathwing ever feared. Also the msuci when Archimonde dies. Epic. This would make a great movie in the cinema, with the battle for mt. Hyjal as the final climax of the movie. ftw

The last lvl is easy. Just use whosyourdaddy. XD. without cheats, then get an early expo and tech asap. then defend for jaina,( DO NOT GET GUARDIAN ANCIENT FOR MEAT WAGONS WILL SEND BODYS OF ZOMBIES AT THEM AND RAPE THEM), whn jaina wipes, defend thrall, then at the very end, KILL AND STALL AS LONG LONG AS POSSIBLE(get a wisp, build a moon well right next to him, he attacks it, then continue building wells luring him away) ive beatn the lvl 15 times with no cheats. also helps to have good micro

Because the world tree was destroyed, or so they thought, Nozdormu ensured that so long as the World Tree existed, night elves would be immortal and keep their power over nature. If you play World of Warcraft and have gone into Hyjal (the zone, not the instance), the world tree is still there, healthy, green, and massive, along with Archimonde's skeleton =). So, technically, night elves are still immortal and still have power over nature, hence NE druids in WoW

The tree was burned... Whatever it is in the game... it may look healthy but the Night Elves did loose their immortality. The power over Nature is explained with the Druids making a new world tree (that became corrupted) - Teldrassil. But they are not immortal, because Nozdormu didn't bless it...

He went back to the Emerald Dream(the aformentioned stasis) as all Driuds must, and there he was enmeshed in the Nightmare of the Dream, probably stemming from the Old Gods. He fights the corrupting evil in the dream, and thus is stuck there. Cataclysm will explain all in due time.

Medivh is in the Black Morrass, where we go and protect him as he reopens the portal.

In Karazhan it is the Shade of Aran, Medivh's father, not Medivh. Which is why he states in the fight something similar to "I may not be as strong as my son but..."

Actually Medivh isn't anywhere to be found in Karazhan. You can fight a Vision of Medivh, but that's more a pre-recorded thing (the Chess Event). Medivh is either dead / gone or simply doing something else. The current "Ruler" of Karazhan is a Demon named Prince Malchezaar

actually as it turns out, the .MPQ files used for the cinematics are in reality just .AVI files with the .MPQ extension, and compressed with blizzard's BLZ0 codec (which is just DivX).

You should be able to play them in any media player, provided you have the necessary codecs installed. Furthermore, you should be able to rename the .MPQ extension to the proper .AVI extension, and you would have no problems.
