  • Uuh, I get so angry every time someone attacks Reid!

And I think this was the saddest episode I've seen so far. I cried when Sarah died.

  • I wanted to see the card trick

  • 43:38 so is that Riley?

  • I wouldn't let her die, in real life they wouldn't have let her get executed.

  • Wait I'm so confused. Why is she telling them that she killed her son?

  • @PictureOfUsTogether So that her husband wouldn't kill there son.

  • Crying right now

  • Garcia:"They slaughtered 13 girls with blonde hair. Hello?" XD

Hotch and Jacob definitely reminded me of Batman and The Joker. He has that, 'why so serious' face. I love the way Hotch destroyed him in the end.

I love Sarah Jean but it kind of made me mad when she ripped Gideon's ear piece out and tried to attack Reid. This is definitely the saddest episode. Poor Gideon. :,( I'm glad he granted Sarah her dying wish.

And I do think the parents knew. That's why the dad said, "Thank you."

  • this episode is beautiful

  • nothing in this world can compare to a love of a mother to her child.

  • i love sarah jean :/

  • they slaughtered thirteen young girls with blonde hair Hello?! i love garcia :)))

  • do the adopted parents know that it is Riley or are they in the dark too?

  • @cares113 I think from Mr. Sheffield's reaction, he knew exactly why Morgan and Elle were there. The way he touches his nose shows that he's on edge. The way he says "Thank you" indicates he's glad they don't have to tell Riley who his Mother was.

  • Gideon granted her dying wish, i will always miss him on criminal minds, i respected him so much.

  • .... Isn't it sad that when Gideon finally found someone to love after divorcing his wife, she dies? That's what made me sad :(

  • Even the Warden had great respect for Sarah Jean. He respected her wishes, and deep down knew her innocence. I find the relationship appealing and very heart warming in a melancholic way.

  • Go Hotch! With 3 words he destroyed Jacob at the very end. The last thought Jacob would have would be of failure. perfect.

  • @ayamekai1 I cheered when he did that. Ha-ha Jacob!!

  • This episode is surely the saddest :( Balled my eyes out at the end... I could never do the thing that Gideon did..

  • @ 20:24

Sarah Jean: "Did you divorce because of putting people like me away"

    Gideon: "I think you're innocent"

Sarah Jean: "We're all guilty of something, but it's......it's our children that suffers for our sins isn't it?"

  • "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world, remains and is immortal."

  • That mother was a heroine.

  • This was a touching episode.

  • OMG it's Ira Gaines from 24!

  • This was heartbreaking. That woman with that smile on her face before she died was so painful to see.

  • @miniricardo7 You mean when he killed Haley...? I don't know a Kate hahahaha but yeah I cried SO har in that one two. It wasn't really in a touching way though, just from sheer desperation and pity for poor Hotch

  • there are no mountains in central florida...

  • this one made me cry.

  • Fuck this was a sad one!!! Am in tears!

  • I miss Gideon and Elle.

  • @NoaqJeroen I'm a guy who's 14 and this show is really cool. I just started watching this show after my friend told me about it.

  • @329milo

I'm 14 as well ... but I've known about this show for about 2 years now. I'm planning on watching every episode (again).

  • omg ... my heart</3

  • Oh my god. This episode, along with "the bittersweet science" are the saddest and most touching episodes of criminal minds. They both leave me with mascara stains down my cheeks...

  • @jadoremaunier

(SPOILER ALERT for one of the Criminal Minds episodes)

Bittersweet Science was good, but (even though I didn't cry) the episode when Foyet killed Kate was jaw dropping ...

  • I have never cried so hard over something I've watched. I had tears running down my face for a good twenty minutes of this episode. So heartbreakingly beautiful.

  • Hotch has the most epic poker face lolz

  • Throw Spencer in that poker game and you would immediatly have a winner... <3

  • In a way i agree with Sarah Jean because i wouldn't want to have my son know that his dad was a serial killer, but i don't think she should have agree to be put to execution, that's pretty much committing suicide. But then she did suffer a lot in jail and with all the people with signs who actually believed she killed her son, that must have killed her on the inside. I'm just glad that Riley is still alive and lives with a good family in the end.

  • love this episode even though it was really sad, the end left me bawling like a baby. oh does anyone know the song that was playing while she was getting executed?

  • One of the most beautiful episodes. My favorite one

  • IM bawling like a newborn getting slapped in the ass.

  • When Hotch, JJ and that creep was playing cards, I would have switched Hotch for Reid!! LOL, and This was a very sad episode!!! :'(

  • The best episode i've seen !

It really got to me, this just shows how far the love of a mother goes && how far a mother would go in order to protect their children. :')

  • My name is Riley...awks.

  • This episode makes me want to tell my mommy just how much I love her and give her a hug! C': for rasing me my brother and my 2 sisters by herself shes doing an amazing job! Love you for life mommy! <3

  • and PS places where death penalty is high for example Texas where the chair and the injections go night and day, you think this is the first time innocent people have been murdered? that mistakes are not made, come on, but we do not care, we love execution, we love to kill, hangings in the west, hell we made picnics out of it, we get off on watching others die, that is why we invite people to watch executions and of course the press, this thirst for revenge has causalities even innocent ones.

  • capital punishment is one of the most horrible things man could ever do to his fellows, it is murder sanctioned by the state, and it is not for justice, no one dare lie to me and say it's for justice becasue that is the lie we tell ourselves to justify our actions, it';s for revenge its to alleviate our pain and our suffering by inflicting it on another, the death sentence does nothing, they'll still do it becasue they have to, their chemically wired for it, these that do the horrible crimes,

  • one of my favorite episodes ;A;

  • is this firs season?

  • This is my favorite episode. So unbearably sad though :(

  • the ending reminds me so much of lay abiding citizen wen aimes was executed

  • Best episode!

  • lol love that........."You want facts.....Reid"

  • Everything a mom does is for her children. All she wants is to protect them even if it means making the kid hate her so stop arguing with her, blaming her for the things she's done and tell her you love her. Deep down you'll know she loves you to. Don't you ever forget that.

  • emm... nice bald cap Jacob!

  • Favorite episode!

  • aw man this was a hard episode to finish :[ but such a good ending.

  • Wow... this was really sad D:

  • Cryfest! eeesh. I need more tissues!

  • Amazing

  • my favourite episode of this season, no doubt. gets me every time :'(

  • Sometimes the supposed bad people are actully the victims

  • Omg so sad awww crying

  • My feelings right now ... god... I don't know how am I supposed to feel after this

  • i cried! :'(

  • What is the song playing right before the cello plays?

  • man they shoulda put off her execution, took some blood from the kid or something, they coulda proved he was alive without letting him know who his parents were

  • this is so sad ....

  • omg this is so sad !!!! im crying !

  • is it just me or do most of the cases take place in florida? hahaha

  • waah... this really made me cry.. so touching..

  • This episode was different from the others, but very interesting, and by far the saddest.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm crying my eyes out. One of the saddest episodes I've watched so far seeing that I'm watching everything in order x'D Thank you for uploading. :)

  • The green-screen has gotten MUCH better in the later seasons...just saying xD

    Thanks for posting! <3 CM!

  • At least the bastard died thinking he had lost.

  • I feel like only girls watch this show. I don't know . . . maybe only out of the people my age. All the guys seem way to preocupied with sports or video games or . . . porn or whatever to actually get into a good show. Are there any guys watching this (and enjoying it) between the ages of like, 13 and 17? I'm just super curious . . .

  • @NoaqJeroen;

Erm...I'm 18, if that counts, and this is my favorite show. My brother loves it, too, and he is 16.

  • @RBMS13 Only your brother counts . .. sorry.

  • Um, Why didnt they make Reid play poker? He plays cards like a boss!

  • can anyone tell me what the song was at the end of the show..

  • @emiliya096 If you mean by "song" the cello music, that´s Johann Sebastian Bach´s Suite for unaccompanied Cello No.1 in g major, BWV 1007...

  • @blackhair85 Can you tell me the music when shes staring at Gideon. Thank you.

  • lol... this Jacob is really entertaining...

  • reminds me of the green mile.

  • My favorite :)

  • The Jacob and Hotch scene is like The Joker talking to The Batman

  • This episode is so sad but so good at the same time...I'm crying my eyes out

  • @808k1k2k3k4k5 me too

  • The serial killer guy reminded me of the Joker

  • Ok why are they in the same prison ? I thought that men & women go to separate prisons, doesn't seem to make sense.

  • Hotch's hair is like so perfect! His suit never wrinkles... his tie is always 'tied' :) but whn he laughs or smiles, i'm a puddle on the floor...

  • Aww Gideon! So sweet!

That mom is superman strong to die for something that she didn't do, just so her son could be happy. Moms take note of this! She did good because the guy overseeing the execution knew that she was innocent for sure now.

I laugh hysterically when Hotch shows Jacob that his son is still alive! Jacob died in defeat, as he should have.

I feel dumb asking this question. So please be nice. Why did foster dad say "Thanks." after Morgan left? I didn't understand that part.

  • @brookeworm18 He knows about the mother and her death-sentenced..he's thankful for Morgan's decision to not let his son know the truth

  • @brookeworm18 I think he knew that "Byron" was actually Riley, and he and his wife were just trying to protect thier son. They took their names off the adoption list because Sarah probably came to them and asked them to keep Riley. He was probably just thanking Morgan for not telling the truth.

  • @brookeworm18 He thanked Morgan for not revealing the truth to his son partially because I think him and Sarah Jean wanted the best interests for Riley and therefore he would not live the best possible life had Sarah Jean been revealed. Also, the second reason would probably because no one likes to know that their father murdered 17 different women.

  • I didn't agree with that decision.

  • Whenever I see this episode I can't not cry ... in the final scene where Gideon's eyes cross those of mother (Sarah Jean) realizing exactly what you are sacrificing their lives with an extreme gesture of love for his son. It's an amazing thing the strength of a mother and at the same time an unbearable pain for me to see this scene. Roberto da Mantova (Italy)

  • I still haven't seen Hotch blink!

  • Wow, this one really touched me. Made me cry. That poor women, I know she's only acting and playing a character, but she has the heart of a thousand men.

  • @NishaMarquise I think it's just how empty the ending makes you feel this is kinda a messed up episode becuase under most states laws withholding information that leads to the execution of an innocent person in itself is a capital crime, our states are opisite ends of the spectrum Texas executes more people than any other state and Michigan was the first state to abolish the death penalty.

  • @MegaSayitlikeitis

    actually you are both wrong.

see, her son now has a perfect life, if he finds out, who his real mother is, his world would have fallen apart.

she reached her goal, she knows her sons life to be perfect, she is happy that he mustnt suffer because of his background.

her son does not know about this, due to his foster parents didnt tell him anything, to protect him

this is how "what we do four ourselves dies quickly but what we do for others is eternal" was meant

  • @geniousyo tanks a lot Guy !!!!

  • the power of a mother's love

  • This is kinda bad but the serial killer man kinda made me laugh throughout.

  • michael massee fired the gun that killed brandon lee.

  • This Episode scares me. I don't know why though. Hmm?!

    -NishaMarquise

  • is there anyone who knows the opening and ending music of this one ??

  • @johnYakuza Prelude from Bach Cello Suite I

  • I am beyond happy that Hotch was able to tell that bastard that "he lost."

Second episode that's ever made me cry. The first being when Hotch's wife was murdered.

  • @Mooplerful

why the hell would you type that you ass.

  • @kyoukasuigetsu211, I don't understand how anything I said would make me an ass. I am happy Hotch was able to tell the murderer that his son LIVED. The murderer didn't want that. He wanted his son dead. So he was going to die in peace and victory, knowing that his son was dead and that his main victim (his wife) would die soon. So yes, I'm happy that the murderer WASN'T able to die knowing he was a winner. I'm happy he died knowing he lost.

  • @kyoukasuigetsu211 the murderer was about to make his victory eternal.

the moment hotch showed him that picture was so epic, because he broke him

  • blimey first time ive ever cried at CM was a brilliant episode <3

  • This reminds me of the movie the Green Mile where Michael Clarke Duncan's character was innocent but still wanted to die anyway and there was nothing anyone could do about it. I do think the difference is that her guilt was real. She knew what her husband was doing but didn't say anything until it was too late. Her one redeeming quality was that she saved her son. In cases like this, one wonders from a religious perspective if she was heaven or hell bound.

  • Garcia's comment " They slaughtered 13 young girls with blonde hair. Hello".. was the best line here..

  • This was a veryy gewd episoe :'D i loved it Nice Work ;D I was kinda cryinngg ;"D

  • @Littlegirl151617 @koolmook - Actually, no. She felt like she deserved to be executed because she thought it was her fault that all those girls died and she didn't do anything about and if she was reunited with her son she was afraid she could never give him a better life than the one he was living. Even Jason said at the end that what we do four ourselves dies quickly but what we do for others is eternal.

  • I don't get why she carried on to be executed? :/

  • @koolmook She carried on to be executed because she didn't want to risk someone finding out that she didn't kill her son and that in fact and she didn't want him to be labeled as sick killer's son.

  • Thanks :D:D love the vids
