Being from Kennett I can tell you that her family except her father are well known for causing problems frequently and always look for attention. I don't think anyone noticed that they had to go out of town to other states to get support because everyone knew how they were. I'm not going to say that the police are entirely innocent in this case, but she was never going to get 15 years, she ended up getting like 48 hours and anger management. In some states, simple "misdemeanor" assault on a civilian can be "upgraded" to "felony" assault if the recipient of violence is an offficer of the law, which to me makes PERFECT SENSE!
