The rock band makes more concessions to the idioms of the game, which can't recognize open strings or muting and is a lot more playable. The song shouldn't be that hard.

GH3 and RB both have examples of lead and rhythm guitar both being charted in a single song, but generally the bass charts are seperated (because RB has bass and GH3 has co-op with bass/rhythm guitar). the only examples of bass notes being charted to the guitar part are in 3's & 7's on GH3, and All Star on GH: On Tour

i think its important to point out that the vast majority of those "extra" notes in gh3 came at the very end of the song. gh3 had notes charted while rb had "big rock ending." in actuality, the amount of notes being played during all but the end of the song are much, much, much much closer.

Guitar Hero is more about how hard they can make the song. With Rock Band the charts are realistic. Guitar Hero is more for single play, Rock Band is about having fun with friends. If they didn't make the charts hard too play then it wouldn't be very fun. So although I like that Rock Band is more true to the song, Guitar Hero's are fun since they present a challenge.

It's called the "Big Rock Ending". When the board turns colors like that you just try to play as many notes as you can to try and get an extra bonus. Note the "Ending Bonus" that appears above the board.

Gh world tour will be super realistic and with two cymbal pads. It will be a flop for a few reason. There is a large portion of people who like the cartoony graphics which distingwish it from real life and the characters customablity will be better. Also the cymbals will be very uncomfortable because you have to constantly reach forward with the build and the music store to get new music you will have to buy Guitar Hero 5 like always compatiblity can not be a problem due to the cost of the equip

In my opinion, the number of notes in a GH or RB chord are not to represent how many notes being played, but how many frets on the actual guitar would be held down. In the case of this song, it is mainly comprised of Power Chords, and only two frets are required to hold notes in to play them. Plus the fact that the riff during the verses are actually single notes (unless on the acoustic, then they are octaves I believe), and the GH chart is using 3 note chords. RB is more accurate, so RB ftw.

Oh, and GH3 is in no way close to how Corgan plays. Corgan uses POWER CHORDS, which require only two frets. My good man, I play guitar quite well. The RB chart is much more accurate, the GH chart is mixing elements of Lead, Rythym, and Bass. Rock Band is MUCH closer to how it feels playing it on the real guitar, so don't come at me like you know everything. Oh, and if it "looks and sounds accurate", wouldn't you think it is? Besides, the verses are single notes, not chords like the GH3 chart.
