btw, it's awesome that you used so much of the art from that great Gambit miniseries they did a few years back, when I go to Megacon in a couple weeks, I'm gonna get the series signed by two of the people who worked on it (Georges Jeanty, who was the penciler for the series, and Greg Land, who did most of the cover art for the series).
thanks very much i lov This song for the character It fits perfect..first time I see a video with a song I can figure out gambit´s behavior-personality-charm-bad ass actitude! XD...I like it veery much...
I had problems understanding his power too, heh. I thought it had something to do with the cards, but apparently he just carries cards around because they're small and make good ammunition!
So I get that he can charge anything (except anything bioligical?) . . . but does he actually throw the cards or do they just shoot out of his hand once they're charged? For some reason I got the idea that once he charged something . . . the kinetic energy just shoots it off.
If you follow the New Sun storyline for Gambit, apparently he can activate the kinetic energy in anything. However, he made a deal with Mr. Sinister (Who keeps trying to breed Scott and Jean for some reason, creepy!) to block off part of his power so he wouldn't be that out of control with it. In the New Sun storyline, he basically destroys the earth, becoming in essence, a new sun. It's pretty crazy. But very cool.
He actually does throw the cards. If you watch the animated show and see in the comics, he's perfectly capable of holding the item that he charged. Plus, he can throw cards that aren't charged. I think I remember him having some razor bladed cards at one point and he threw them the same way.
i know what his power is, but i dont really understand it. the way he uses the ability to charge inanimate objects just doesnt really make sense to me. i would really appreciate it if somebody would explain it to me.
Gambit's power, scientifically speaking, is the ability to turn the potential energy in all matter into kinetic energy. Since potential energy is a state of stasis, when it's turned into active, kinetic energy, it can't be contained any longer and discharges as an explosion. The book "Science of the X-men" is a really good read for anyone who likes physics and comic books.
As far as I can tell, he can control how much energy he activates in items. He charges his cards and such primarily to become an explosive device. The staff he charges just enough to increase it's power.
I always found Gambit a bit one dimensional, even in the comics. My all time fave is Cable, for some reason. His background was so confusing,I had fun figuring it out. I didnt have internet acces back in the mid 90s,so I had to buy hundreds of Comics just to find the characters back stories!!
Awesome! I love this song! This video is too perfect and such a fitting tribute for my favorite X Men. You rock! This video is so wicked! I just love it and can't thank you enough making this. Bye!
what about a fight between gambit vs the joker (batman series)? sorry if this is stupid, im an occasional reader, but i love the looks and style of both :)

Awesome tribute to an awesome hero!
Although I prefer the Spiderbait version of this song, the song itself makes a great theme for Gambit!
