Sheryl Crow will NEVER reach the heights that Tuesday Night Music Club gave her. That was such a GREAT album. After that...boring...pop-ish...just there...That album is in my top ten all time favorites.
It's amusing to still hear them introduced as being from Macon, Ga., as late as 1994. They were never actually from Macon (just moved up there to be near their manager and record company--don't ever combine those two, folks) and split from there long before '94.
Love this version of this great song! This is one of the rare instances where I actually like the live version more than the original studio recording.
bring back dickey betts...and sheryl crow...fits good...warren haynes kicks ass...lets goe Allman Brothers...as much as we miss Duane this latest group works...
Held them back? Dickey wrote most of their tunes and all their instrumentals in the 90's (7 Turns, Back Where it All Begins, No One to Run With, Nobody Knows, True Gravity, etc,) and it was him and Warren who revived the ABB's original sound when they played together in the Dickey Betts Band before reuniting in 1989. Gregg, Butch, Jaimoe did not contribute squatt and simply cashed in on Betts' back until they found a much younger clone of Duane to simply milk the oldies.
Gregg was at the peak of his vocal powers, 88-96, so this is a great glimpse at the tailend of that reign. Sheryl on the other hand, was still a few years away from her best. Dickey held them back for most of the 90's, thank God Derek came of age! He and Warren are best since Duane & Dickey 70-71.
The best ABB's shows I've seen (and I've seen about fifteen) has been with Dickey and Warren. There is no replacing Dickey!!! Sorry but Derek can't touch Dickey ir Warren when it comes to songwriting or guitar playing.
wrong, Derek is a much more accomplished guitar player than Dickey Betts. Though he definitely is a great song writer, but don't say he is a better guitar player.
Fantastic performance, and by some of *my* favorite people, too. Thanks to dherae for sending it to me. If this is your first video, then you're off to a rippin' good start!
This is just so cool.

sheryl crow works good with the allman brothers...her voice resembles bonnie bramlet...who is a long time friend and toured with them in 1978

I wonder if Gregg did her.... Clapton did not long before this and dumped her. the song 'favorite mistake' is about him.

I Agree! I think the year was around 1995. Glad u enjoyed!

I think it was 94 when both were part of the Horde tour. I saw them do this at Great Woods in August 13, 1994.

I think the Rock Hall opened it's doors in 1995 so this concert was that summer.
