@heavyweiight Simple, Goku wasn't really intending on fighting Buu by himself in this form. He wants to fuse and save his energy for that. And Vegeta knew from the start of this fight he didn't have a chance of beating him alone. But Vegeta being Vegeta and being blinded by his pride, he wants to try anyway, and try to be the hero for once.

The thing I never understood was mystic Gohan was easily as powerful as ssj 3 Goku or at least that was my understanding. So Buu has his power, ssj 3 Gotenks and Piccolo's. So how could a fusion of Goku and Vegeta that doesn't seem to go past ssj or maybe ssj 2 any match for him even still? And why didn't Vegito go past ssj 3? I'm sure with their combined power and energies he could have pulled it off.
