A local guy named Mark won the 2009 World Final. All cars run with a transponder in them to register the laps done, this meeting and many others are done on a time limit (8 minutes for WF, normall 4/5 mins) and the person who has done most laps over the time is declared the winner. If you listen on the video there is bleeping noises, this is as the cars pass the transponder loop.
@MBUK1000 These are Mardave 1/12th scale cars, there are loads of differrent shells which are made of ABS. There are several clubs around the country which run r/c bangers and other formulas. A fully ready to race kit is about £150. Spares are fairly reasonable. Some clubs also have a spares shop.
Kamtech are the biggest supplier of shells and spares etc however some model shops and ebay also sell most of the spares you are likely to need.
rated 5* as this looks f*****g amazing and great fun! awesome video nice 1, BTW who won?? The lime green car seemed the quickest and cleanest threwout and some big hits there, plastic everywhere, lol.

What type of electric cars do you buy to do this? Is it special banger cars or just normal RC electric cars?
If possible please could you give me a link to a website to where you can buy them?
Thanks
