I would normally agree with you. However, when a person decides to put themselves into the public light, all bets are off. Whether she is conscious of her situation or not is unclear to me, but she obviously did not go on this television show involuntarily. She even has her own videoblog, so I'm sure she likes the attention. The only exception I could think of would be if the person required a guardian to take care of him(her). But in that case the guardian should be punished, not the host.
