Haha too cool. During a conversation about old RPG video games just a few days ago, my cousin recommended this game. I had never heard about it before, knew nothing about it. The Gentleman delivers! Will be keeping up with this Let's Play with great interest.
@clackclickbang Its 80% passion and 20% research. There are books, and lots of internet resources. I got into acting, with just the desire to do so, and the knowledge comes out of that. Now I have had the privilege to share a scene with Ricky Gervais, so anything is possible.
Was that grigor early on you or the game, I wasn't 100% sure either way. That's a jack for you that you cannot play a Oni in this game. I don't think that making characters different in stats in video games really matters, it is not like it is a tt game.
@woodwwad I shouted "Grigor" because a random clueless berk went for a swim in the Styx. He reminded me of your erstwhile companion.
The stats in this game only really come into effect because your class is malleable. Your character can't remember his past so depending on how you play the game you can change class, alignment and so on. Having high wisdom and intelligence allows for greater dialogue and a wider breadth of memories.
"The water cuts the ROCK!" I am glad you decided to do this one. When I suggested it and you said, " You woudln't be able to do it justice" , I knew it was rubbish. You, of course, did fabulous and I don't use fabulous very often good sir.
@TemplarsCrusade01 The Lady of Pain is indeed the figure of power in Sigil, not that she ever speaks or expresses any view except "You're going to be flayed" or "You're going to be Mazed."
Oh my word... this is such an intimidating game to approach as an LP. Well for me, at least, since I have trouble reading aloud, and there's a lot of reading in this ;)
I'm sure will your knowledge of the setting, this will be well worth watching.
2 Planescape games a week. Oh dear, oh my. This will be a bit strange seeing the way this setting is presented here as compared to the way I'm imagining it from your descriptions in the PF sessions. Very cool. Can't wait till you get out of the Mortuary. I don't abide zombies or slaves. But, if you see Slave 1 tell him 'hello'.
@23penguins32 I think he's well and truly one of the dead now, alas. Did you see Grigor in the opening sequence? Or at least someone who fell in the River Styx...
@clackclickbang Yes. I thought that and then heard you say it. Poor guy. It is really who you throw your lot in with in life that ruins it all. Alas, we barely knew him before the flayings began...
This is an ambitious one indeed! I'm excited about this one. Loved the Gregor reference there. When you were doing the skull voice, I thought it was the actual voice over at first. Excellent as usual.
@GAWproductions I gave you a thumbs up just for the sake of it... I agree. I am going back to the modron workshop to make some amendments before we return.
God, the full install. The hardest thing I had to do on my computer.
