I've always hated the BBKings venue. They have such a terrible sound manager and their security are assholes. With such a small stage is a pity there aren't many better venues without heading to the size of places like Roseland.

I still miss L'amour.

@FiniteAnarchy - I hate to knock the place, but I've played there twice, and consistently, more so than any other venue I've played at, the sound with an audience is completely different than at sound check. Its also wicked dry on stage (as is observed from the sound of this video). So, you get 1100 people, with no ambience. But, they feed the bands well. I miss L'amour too - heard it was open in SI now?

I don't know if it's open in SI. I think that might be the case but I'm not sure. I don't have a car so its almost impossible to get to SI for me without it taking say, 2 hours. I haven't been around ny much the last 2 years so I don't know if anything new has really come around to take it's old place.
