Hey, I just got the sharkoons for christmas. I find that I have trouble with the mic, it seems I have to talk pretty loud for it to work. do you have this problem or is it just mine. Should I exchange it for another one?

@TheExploitedNirvana I would say just attempt to get a refund or a replacement if it's still in warranty. Or you can troubleshoot and go to accessory settings and fiddle with the microphone's volume.

Can you hear the sounds of footsteps well? I dont care about surround sound or comfort cause i can get used to that, but if I can hear footsteps very well and if it can give me that advantage then its worth it.

These headphones both need USB power so they would not be good choices for an all purpose pair of headphones. I would look at astrogamings a30 set.

Actually, right now, Sharkoons on AMAZON is $20 bucks more than the X11s, but in retail, x11s are only $10 bucks less. x11s= Retail-$60 Amazon-$45 Sharkoon SP= Retail-$70 Amazon-$65 Thumbs up so people can see! Also, the ding at the end hurt my ears :l

To respond to the question from a few days ago: the sharkoon headset is set at the smallest setting throughout the majority of the video. After using the headset for a month now, I stand by my decision of the sharkoon sp over the x11 headset. I will say the though, the headset seems to make poor audio quality very noticeable. I would assume that all of these amplified headsets do that, since they are suppose to bring out the details. Just an FYI.

Look, the hiss on the x11 headset are not very noticeable coming from almost every review of the x11. So I am not worrying about that. The sharkoon sp has a hiss to but again not really noticeable enough to annoy you, again from the majority of the reviews for it. Also one more thing: He says that the overall sound range is not a comparison of the x11. But the bass is a bit better. If you want a good gaming headset that does not as good of the range feature then the x11's? then buy these.

My heads approx 6in from ear to top- will it fit?

I have never tried the px21s, so I can't really compare the Sharkoon SP to them. Like I said in the video the SP is definately bigger than the x11s. I wear the SP on the smallest setting, and my head measures 22 and 1/4 inch around... On the smallest setting the headset is 7 and 1/2 inches tall from the bottom of the headband (the part that would sit on your head) to the bottom of the ear cups. Hope that helps.

Hi mate. I'm.thinking about getting this headset but there is just one problem - the size. Do u think they will fit a 12 yr old kid? I tried on the px21s and they were a bit to big. Are these headsets smaller? Thanks anyway.

I love me Sharkoon SP Headset, and I like the fact I can detatch the MIC when I'm not playing online. The Sharkoon SP is the best gaming headset I have used under $60 bucks.

Sorry about the audio quality on this video. I just got a new camera and am still working the quirks out. I think I am going to have to dub over my videos... unless someone can steer me towards some easy to use cheap (or free) video editing software that will allow me to boost my video's volume.
