hello. I have question for itb-s, I have fiesta st150, and need some information about torque with itbs. will car be driveable daily, how much is torque with itbs and at wich rpms? thanks
hi i am thinking of changing to your dierct to head throttle bodies on my ztec(silver top) which is currently running on webber alpha throttle bodies and ecu,
could i use my existing ecu, injectors, etc with your throttle bodies?
We always recommend using an airfilter, or airbox with filter on the inlet. Filters are not always fitted when using an engine dyno. Examples of how filters are fitted to our throttles can be found on our online website or shop atpowershop.co.uk
4 separeate pipercross socks are the preferred option [even though they go up in flames like a chistmas tree doused in hairspray if theres any flameback]
We recommend using something like the ITG JC50/S/100 filter. Socks can restrict the power of the engine as the filter area isn't large enough, and they can disrupt the airflow into the ram pipes.
@ATPowerThrottles can you tell me what your st170 kit would b like with filter and exhaust? does new ecu change the digital dash? ,what would it be like on fuel when not caning it ? and the drivability on a day to day basis plus what sort of power could i expect im seriously considering one of your kits but need to kno what ill have to live with for 4-5 years many thanks mark
The ST170 engine is a very good unit, and can produce 200bhp with just the throttle bodies and aftermarket ECU. Fuel economy is down to your tuner, but if tuned properly and driven normally it can be the same, or even higher than standard. Day to day should be fine, lots of people drive cars with AT Power throttle bodies daily and have no trouble,
We dont' make kits for specific cars. We make kits that can be used in race cars, kit cars, and in track day cars. Modern cars are very difficult to change critical parts on. Someone like Jamsport would be your best bet as they will know how to get around the standard ECU and can supply AT Power throttle bodies.
Your car is a lump of shite, 1 why bother spending the money on a shitty zetec s you muggy chav, and secondly, you know nothingf about mapping do you? hahahhaa cunt
Ok so when you say it made 268bhp that's to the flywheel right ? The 2.0 duratec is rated at 140hp(sedan) 143hp(coupe) here in america so I'm curious did this motor have any internal work done too ?
Yes at the flywheel measured on the engine dyno. 272bhp, the figure the engine made with our throttle bodies was also with some headwork, higher lift and duration camshafts, and strengthening to the bottom end. Forged pistons, rods, rod bolts. This was an engine for a rally car.
We have a customer who ran a standard 2.3 duratec with the throttle bodies and made 203bhp. We have also ran a 2.4 duratec of a similar spec to this 2.0 which made 304bhp.

@pew32
Yes you can, although you will need to find someone who can reprogramme the Webcon ECU.

Would you mind explaining how this works, since wouldnt you need an air filter on that to stop all the dust etc getting in the engine?

correct me if i'm wrong, but the longer stacks are for high end correct?
Swansen03 2 years ago
Actually longer is better for low end and mid range. Short is best for high end power.

ah, ok, thank you.

do you have or can make a kit for a fiesta zetec s 2006? which can come pre mapped ?or where i can send you my ecu and you map it for me?

I think your protege will not have an MZR/duratec engine. These engines are found in the Mazda 3.
Thanks.

what engine is this and is my 99 protege a duratec

I'm pretty sure your Protege is a BP18. The newer Mazda's like 3, 6, miata all have duratecs.
