I loved this song from the first time my little brother made me watch the movie "Bad channels" with him back when in 97. I've always liked the music that my friends didn't like. From the 60s to now. From Dr Demento to Mad Mike. I'm 53 by the way and I love all the crazy songs
Come on guys! How is imitating Mr. Bungle's first record being ahead of their time? Listen To Mr. Bungle "Stub (a Dubb)", "Egg", "Carousel" or "Travolta" and then you tell me.
@aldomaster - This song was written before Mr. Bungle came out. It was written in 1989 and on a demo in 1990. This was from a movie that came out in 1992. This band started in 1986 under the name Local Asparagus, then added some members and changed their name to Dychondras in 1988 then changed their name to Sykotik Sinfoney in 1991. They aren't the only band doing this kind of stuff back then but Korn used to go watch THEM and said they were influenced by the Sinfoney. Just some trivia for ya.
@Tilaron - There were a lot of bands in the 80's that were coming up with similar ideas and did not know of each others existence. It was part of the musical zeitgeist of the times. Many of them were just sick of 'hair bands' and it was kind of rebellion. Many grew up on Lidsville, H.R. Pufnstuf and were reliving childhood. Some were facing down demons. Green Jello(y), El Grupo Sexo, Animal Bag. Hey, I love Mr. Bungle, I remember people thinking they ripped of the Chili Peppers! No biggy.
@Tilaron - Hey! Now you got me reminiscing about these times. I could tell you some great stories from this time period (basically L.A. music scene from 1983 to the late 90's). Just curious, how old are you and where are you from? I was 19 when I moved to Hollywood in 1983. Dave Mustaine was my neighbor after he got kicked out of Metallica and I saw Yngwie when he was still in Alcatrazz. Also saw Paul Gilbert in Racer X days.
@djangothecat Well, I'm 22 and in England, but whenever I hear new music I always go a bit over the top and find out everything I can about them :P
I love both Mr. Bungle and Sykotik Sinfoney, and while they are similar, I think it's pretty stupid to say one band was imiating the other, but in this case you can see how some people would think so :(
i used to write week-ass music until i heard these guys. now they have such an influence that i can groove the guitar and bass separately all by ear. i totally self trained because of these guys. its amazing. way better than anything i've ever heard in my life. ok back to being original and copying these guys at the same time. bye
I feel nogalistic now for my seasonal job at Valleyscare (at Valleyfair during September - November). This song played everyday for a month at the maze I worked at. Of course, it was at a clown maze. ;D
One of the best songs ever. I've never heard the full version before, only as it is in 'Bad Channels'. It's weird seeing the album art. It lo0ks almost exactly like the stuff I used to draw back in the '90s! It's got a disembodied clown head, lots of intesteenz, a corn, miscellaneous kitchen appliances and/or utensils, and an insectoid farm animal. My stuff usually involved pigs, not cows.
