Finally! The TorqueMeister got the axle nuts off my 69 Bug after several exercises in futility, including breaking the 1/2" socket end of a breaker bar. It was crucial, however, to tap the main torque arm of the TorqueMeister with a sledge hammer while applying torque. The best place to hit the TorqueMeister is right on the end of the arm between the wrench socket and pinion gear. A two-person operation, but a wonderfully controlled and satisfying action with very little straining on the wrench.
should have used a 1/4 ratchet would have gone even harder man.

it´s amazing what shit they invent. That´s not needed I just use a socket, a breaker bar and a long tube for leverage.

@SuperNorthAmerica All I ever needed was a 2-foot breaker bar and grunt a little. I broke the 1/2" socket end of the breaker bar once, lol!

@SuperNorthAmerica You're lucky then, I've broken several 2' breaker bars and countless sockets. This is a nice tool to have in your vw toolbox.

@bobdaf
So, for the recommended 217 foot pounds (or more) for the rear axle nut, that means you give it about 25 foot pounds with this tool.
