  • Answer to Mogearz, On my 99 t/a i did the swap and the only run ins with factory harness is the knock sensors relocated to the bottom side of the block and the ev6 style injectors needed adapters for the ev1 style ls1 harness Other than that smooth sailing 573 rwhp and 536 rwft 454 lsx ls7 heads 405 cfm @ 700.. 242 248 cam on 112 lobe sep 626 lift 11.0.1 comp Callies crank Comp rods Mahle pistons spins 7,400 on rev limiter gets there pretty fast.

  • @1999LEONARDTA

isnt the cam sensor in a different spot too?

  • @slowpoke96Z28 ... Cam position sensor is in same spot as well as the crank position sensor.

  • Cam position sensor is in the exact same spot on the timing chain cover.

  • @1999LEONARDTA and @mogearz

a 99 came stock with the cam sensor at the back of the block, not in the timing chain cover.

  • @slowpoke96Z28 You mean Crank Position sensor that picks up a signal up of the 24 tooth reluctor wheel .???

  • @slowpoke96Z28 Right had a moment there the factory ls1 cam sensor is located behind the intake manifold above the cam on the back of engine. On the LSX motor the cam position sensor is located on timing cover just need an extension cable from katech or fast and wala...donski's

  • does the stock wire harness work or does the engine come with one

  • Looks like she needs a differential fluid change.

  • The crate version makes about 600hp,maybe more. The tall deck version can be bored to 500 inches, and can support 2,500hp(thats what its been tested to handle so far.

  • That machine is set on kill.

  • I am sorry sir, but you need to learn all of your facts before spewing rumors all over the internet.

  • Do not deal with lmr, they are crooks and emplot known fellon amber honeycutt of the former six speed inc. They screwed hundreds for hundreds of thousands of dollars, google it at the yellow bullet forums and also on lstech forums etc.
