  • lol nd u kno this an old video :)

  • Our hair is very much alike in length.. thanks for posting!

  • You hair looks naturally curly. How do I make my hair look like that?

  • @sexxyarmygirl yes it is... it just depends on your texture when you're natural.

  • anything seem to look with errings..:)

  • hi what did you rub in your hair??

  • after watching this, i cant wait to go natural for the rest of the summer! (starting next weekk or the following week)

  • how many months were you natural here?? LOVE YOUR HAIR :D

  • is ur hair naturally curly

  • nice.

  • What kind of headband do you have on your hair?

  • @shuey1029 goody's

  • @allthatsgold Oh I see. You doubled the headband. I need to try that. Is your brush an 100% boar head bristle brush?

  • @shuey1029 idk i got it from walmart.

  • you are one of the few youtubbers who we've seen start from the beginning and end with such GREAT progress.

  • Looks like my Hair now and I Just did a video similar to this

  • great video, I have a similar video for natural hair, about protective styling

  • Can you please explain how shampooing defines your curls? I just co-poo out of fear of my hair becoming too dry if I shampoo. I am 5 and 1/2 months post in my transition phase. Shampooing helping with curl definition is news to me. Do you have more info. on this?

  • Do you shampoo your hair when you do your wash in go, or do you just wet it?

  • @akinmolaoo Usually for this type of wash and go I will just co-wash and style. But if I'm defining my curls I'll shampoo my hair.

  • @allthatsgold Thanks! What about in the winter time? I think I would get sick, if I tried a wash and go style right now....

  • @akinmolaoo well in the winter I don't this type of wash n go I define my curls. Now that I know how to make my hair stretch I don't have to go outside everyday with wet hair. For really cold days you can use a blow dryer to reduce the amount of water in your hair.

  • @allthatsgold

Do you have a video on making your hair stretch? Is it just braiding it at night? Thanks for all the info

  • oh please tell me what she used in hr hair! somebody!

  • omg im in love with your hair texture! my hairs similar but its very curly and much more limp compared to yours :(

    you're very pretty btw.

  • Also how do you wrap your hair at night?

  • @Roastednuggets when my hair was that length I just threw my satin bonnet on. to stretch it out some you can also pull it into puffs/ponytails

  • what's the name of the herbal essence stuff? I have the "tousle me softly" from herbal essence. it works alright but when it dries it looks like dandruff

  • @Roastednuggets its long term relationship.

  • your hair is gorgeous...can you please tell me the name of the BLUSH again, i couldnt really hear it well in the video.. thank u :)

  • @MissCinnamonCake oh sorry it was Serenely by Mac. i think its discontinued but you can usually get it from the cco or see if they have anymore at your mac counter =)

  • wat is the gle called that u used

  • You make me feel I can do this!!!:) Nice Video!!! Very Helpful!!!:)

  • cool=]

  • You hair has grown so much, wow! Its great you've kept up with a healthy regime. Simply stunning.

N.B: You also look about 15 in this vid!Lol!

  • Did u say HE: NONE OF YOUR FRIINESS helps deffine your curls?

  • @starringthembi no it's long term relationship...but it actually is supposed be for long hair

  • I love "long term relations" it smells so good. i use it everyday and it doesn't build up

  • i notice that u start from the back does it give u different results or something

  • @adsim41 I guess it really wouldn't I just like starting from the back because it's just easier because of the way the hair lays.

  • your vids are awesome! (: thanks for sharing

  • Your hair looks great!! Maybe i should try aloe vera gel for a wash n go!!

  • Your natural hair style looks woderful. Thanks for the tips!

  • nice wash n go:)

  • I wish my hair was as pretty as yours <3. I'm in the middle of transitioning to natural hair and I'm too afraid to do a BC because I've never had less than shoulder length hair. The natural hair is only about 5 inches out of the scalp. You're keeping me motivated though! You look very nice :)

  • I actually went out and got the Herbal Essences LTR because of this video. It works great!

  • WOW...so pretty and your hair is lovely! never relax it.

  • Love your hair .. I'll have to try a co wash in a few months. I just did my BC today I have an half an inch TWA. Love the texture of your hair.

  • do you have to wash this out daily?

  • I like this look! That's too cute!! i noticed when i put shea butter on my wet hair it usually has a white film so i started to melt the natural shea butter so it's more of an oil...i tend to use less that way too!

  • Awesome look1

  • im relaxed aN I GOT ALOT OF BABY HAIR. it actually helps it laid down better.

  • I enjoyed this video! Thank you very much for making it. Your hair is gorgeous!

I know this video is like a year old, if I may ask," does the brand of Aloe Vera Gel you use- I think it is the Lilly of the Dessert brand- does it dry out your hair at all?

    Thank you.

  • @naturally120 thank you!! that brand is fruit of the earth of aloe vera gel (from walmart). It doesnt really dry my hair. it just feels like a regular gel but if you put oil under on top of it softens it up.

  • Ok, thank you very much. I'll try it out!

  • Hi, your hair is beautiful! Can you please help me/ I will soon have a twa...so I want to know when I start doing a wash and go, am I supposed to reaply all the products that I use when I first wash my hair, or do I just need to add water?

  • Thank you!!! you can do a co wash and then apply all the products or if you have a style already then you can spray a little water to refresh it..hope this helps

  • Do you cut your own hair?

  • no i went to the beauty salon

  • just wanted to let you know, you gave me my signature look with this tutorial . Thank you! I didn't know what I was doing with the headbands before, now I'm a pro! lol

  • thanks for the tip. very well done. i think you look better without the make up. : )

  • NOTHING works well with IC fantasia gel! lol I haven't found one product that does so if there's one out there that does let me know. lol

  • Girl you are rocking it. I love it

  • lol. gotta finish it off with some ear-rangs!

  • THAT'S MY SONG!!!!!

  • Cute. Use an old toothbrush very gently for baby hairs, and I like the scarf wrap too.

  • what is texturlizer ??

  • It is like a relaxer but instead it makes your hair curly but you can't put heat on it

  • where can i get it?

  • almost anywhere. lol im late huh ... well thats if you havent found one yet. drug stores have them and any beauty supply store. you can use heat on them ... it might not get as straigt as a relaxer if you do though ... but you can :)

  • I have a question...my hair is kinky curly all over except the front of my head, its kinda straight and sits up spiky like and I don't know what to do with that section of my head, its directly in the middle of my head from my forehead to the middle of my head.

  • Sorry for the late reponse but have you tried finger curling it...or you could do twist outs to help blend everything

  • Are u all natural or are you using a texturizer?

  • i am all natural no texturizer here

  • What hair type do you have? Your hair is beautiful and do you comb through the curls or just add the gel and butter? Thank You!

  • I'm not really sure what my hair type is.... i think i have 3b/c and 4a/b???... thank you but I just apply the gel and butter as if I were making a small ponytail.

  • so you used herbal, shea butter aloe gel. and what else??

  • and sunsilk captivating curls conditioner

  • oooh ok thanks. i so could not find that aloe gel, i looked in the sunblock section and everything ugh. but i tried this wash and go and i dont think i did to well with it. i had everything but the aloe, so i used ic...yours came out pretty, mine just came out looking the way it did before i started..ugh, i guess i dont use enough product or something

  • that turned out so pretty!! you're so cute!

  • thank you =)

  • im so ampd to do my bc n rock wash n goes n curly puffs

  • may seem like a silly quest: but wats a wash and go

  • it's okay =) it is basically co washing your hair and then doing a quick style while it is still wet or damp

  • ahhh! thanks for that. i may try it when im in a rush

  • where can i find aloe vera gel?

    :]

  • I got my from walmart in the sunscreen section

  • i love your hair. its so soft

  • thank you =)

  • You are so pretty and thanks for the video! I love being natural!

  • aww thank you =)

  • what type of hair band are u using?????

  • the one i used in the video is really so i dont really know who makes it but now i mainly use the goody's head bands

  • so cute :)

  • Ok, I have been on ur blog-and I think its really great. Do you co-wash with the Sunsilk, and then use the Herbal Essences, shea butter and aloe vera gel? My hair is so thick, and I am having the hardest times finding out what works for me. I bc'ed in Feb 09 for the 2nd time, and I am so determined to stick with it this time. Please help. Also will the cantu shea butter leave in conditioner work also, or does it need to be the pure shea butter that you use?

  • wow ur video is so great! Im going to get my big chop soon ... hopefully dis week. I like da way u styled ur hair. good video... now i fa sure gotta go natuaral! thnx for the inspiration!

  • aww you're welcome :) good luck with bc and journey... thanks for watching!

  • thank you... i love that and it makes sense :)

  • the scarf looked nice as a finally look a head band will look nice as well (black)

  • hello....i love yor video and decided to do the same for my hair noticing that you had the same hair texture as i do.I bought the sunsilk captivating de-frizz conditior which i used for co-wash and after that,i added the herbal essence but my hair came out so hard.did i use the wrong product or am i doing something wrong?please i need your help and step by step directions.BTW, i checked out your blog

    thanks and God bless

  • hey thanks for watching and going to my blog :) Sorry it didn't work....did you try it on really wet or damp hair??

  • Your hair is so nice!!!

  • thank you :)

  • That was just to cute. My hair was like that but I got it pressed and now it won't curl up like that anymore:-( Anyway, I'm glad to see a natural lady with short hair doing a tutorial. My hair is maybe a tad bit longer than yours in this video and I never see any tutorials with short hair. I'm so glad I came across yours. I will be trying the wet and go with the kinky curly curling custard soon. We'll see how that comes out. Thanks again for sharing.

  • thanks for watching and you are welcome :)

  • Very cute

  • thank you :)

  • Very Pretty.... ;-)

  • thank you:)

  • Omg, I also use the Sunsilk products and learned that mixing it with the IC Fantasia was a no-no!! Girl I had the same white micro-bead looking particles in my hair. It was a mess!!! I had to immediately wash my hair before going to work. It's all trial and error.

  • i know it sucks:( And i also found that the same thing happens when i use gel and some type of oil like castor oil

  • hello im 15 and natural. also proud. and i luv your hair. My hair doesn't curl that much. still lookin for sumthing to give me a curl definition.

  • have you tried flipping your head upside down in shower and letting the water run down...I love doing this now because I dont have to use gel now.

  • really nice..................i am actually transitioning, its cos of videos lk this that make me wanna do it................thanks a lot

  • aww thanks...that's exactly what i did when i was transitioning

  • youre hairs soo pretty

  • i really love the texture of your hair! whats the name of that gel and where did u get it?

  • thank you...the gel is fruit of the earth aloe vera gel you can get it from walmart i think walgreens has it just look in the sunburn/lotion isle.

  • For my hair to have "defined curls" it has to be clean. It needs a clarifying shampoo, which cleanses the hair. Some use other natural cleansers(i.e. baking soda) and that is a personal choice. I do always, always follow up with a moisturizing shampoo & deep conditioning mask. So the co-wash is good but after so much build up, my hair needs to be cleansed.

  • the song in the bkg is my jam! Sounds of blackness!! :)

  • Mine too. I love Sounds of Blackness

  • this came out really nice! i bced in november and my hair's grown a lot since then and i'm still learning more about my hair and what products to use. i might try that aloe vera gel next time though!

  • yeah, thats like a staple. you definitely need to get some aloe vera gel, lol!

  • cute.

  • thanks

  • Actually, i am using that right now! I made a video where i show my hair with it in and dry. Please feel free to go see :) . Honestly though, it isn't an all natural gel. It still has some things in it that i do not like, but it is the closest to a natural gel as i can find right now. The only thing i don't like is the hardness. I spray a mixture of water, vegetable glycerin and castor oil in my hair prior to using this and it keeps my hair pretty soft despite the gel. Thanks!!

  • hmmm, thats smart! i definitely didn't think of that. thanks for the idea!!

  • NO PROBLEM :)

  • oh really i didnt know they were natural...i will have to try that..thanks

  • Girl i love your texture! I am still trying to perfect my wash n go. I am in search of a good natural gel and that is hard.

  • I think you are right about that! Some products just do not mix

  • BEAUTIFUL :)

  • very cute.

  • Great video!

  • very pretty

  • I've never used shea butter on my hair before, but I'm thinking about it. I need to get me those ouch-less Goody bands too. Oh, I hear Robert Curry "Free" in the background, I'm a DAY26 fan/supporter (or "friend" as Brian would say) too ;-).

  • Very VEry beautiful! YOur nexture is nice! you should check out my vids on natural hair.

  • thank you!!

  • I love your hair. I can't wait to cut mine!

  • thank you how long have to been transitioning??

  • You're welcome :) It's been a little over 10 months now.

  • Cute hair!

  • thank you:)

  • very nice! You look beautiful~

  • thanks and thanks!!

  • My sister and I both agreed that you have a really cute 'fro ^_^ ...I just LOVE your hair!

  • Well I thank you and your sister :)

  • Pretty!

  • thanks

  • i noticed since i've been natural I cant get my hair to shine, have you had this problem? It might be the color change bc it is a dusty looking color. i moisturize all the time, so I doubt it's bc its dry.

  • i did when i bc'd. so i started using coconut oil because the polisher in the stores have too many ingredients.

  • Looking lovely. Was that the neutral Coastal scents palette? Are the shadows pigment? Do you recommend this palette?

  • Yes that was the neutral palette and I would recommend it but the only thing is that some of the colors dont come out the way they look like one of the shimmery browns.
