saying that americans don't understand sarcasm & irony is a little shortsighted, seen as ruby wax plays the ignorant, motormouthed american so well that it fools dumbass brits every time...even tho she's been playing that character for 20 odd years...in britain. &, like it or not, the feigned ignorance of both guests on the show produced the best moments. ruby wax could destroy paul merton verbally if she'd a mind to, but there was no reason to as the badinage was all quite jovial. Good ep!

@MrTonyInchpractice Nah dude, Ruby is great n all but I would say she is mostly scripted, Merton just pulls this stuff from nowhere. Don't get me wrong I love Ruby Wax but Paul Merton has a razor sharp wit.
