I have braces and have gingivitis, I was so lazy to brush and floss the whole month :( I really hate myself for doing that and my orthodontist appointment is tomorrow DX They might tell me to brush and floss AGAIN! or might take my braces off D: I am reallly scared!

I have gingivitis. it sucks. i've just started noticing blood on the strings of my toothbrush after brushing and afterwards blood in the sink, with the most bleeding coming from the top left molar. i'm gonna be getting the strongest listerine shops sell, regardless of the mouth burn, an electric toothbrush, and floss to try and stop it before it becomes irreversible but MAN BRACES SUCK FOR FLOSSING D:

Gingivitis is a bitch but can be fixed without going to the dentist

An all white rice diet and home made calcium (calcium made from eggshells)

for 3 weeks can get rid of your gingivitis it also gets rid of root canal

a diet with nothing but phosphorus and calcium is the answer to your problem.

Eat nothing but rice & calcium until cured and after it goes away avoid fruits,smoking and candy for a while as the bacteria isnt dead but in a small harmless quantity that can regrow if abused.

I have gigivitas in it's earlystages..... At this point it crucial that u brush your teeth twice aday along with flossing then mouthwash. If soo you should be cleared up within 7-10 days, if you had if for long then you might be fucked.

Brush your teeth in a circular motion, never rake over them as this can cause the gum to recede away from the surrounding tooth. You are literally brushing your gum away and you need to change the way you brush to correct any further damage. Healthy gums are pink with no red or swelling. It is not abnormal to have a bit of recession and this does not indicate gum disease, and generally, means you are brushing the wrong way. Common sense, if you have red, swollen gums that bleed its bad.

They are primarily referring to teeth that bleed regularly when you brush and floss. If you brush too hard or dig too deep with dental floss, this can cause a bit of bleeding so if this happens just be more gentle. If they bleed whenever you brush and floss then yes, you should see a dentist as soon as possible to prevent further problems in the future. FYI..whenever you consume fruit or fruit juices rinse your mouth out immediately following with a glass of water to stop the acidic reaction.

Alot times your gums are fine if they bleed, unless it's bleeding all over Everyone's gums bleed. the 2 places you want to brush the most are the gums between the teeth and the gumline in front and back. You really want to watch out for Abscessed teeth-even a person that cleans often can get it. Simon Cowell can get it. They are painful.

It can be becuase of your diet; high sugar foods and carbohydrates can increase the bacteria in your mouth, how often you brush, how you brush, flossing and mouth wash use, and it's mostly about the quality of effort you put into taking care of your teeth. Like if you eat something with alot of sugar in it, brush, or use mouthwash or last resort wash out your mouth with water to keep in from sticking to your teeth.
