Hi Buddy, I have a 93 ford Truck E-350 1 Ton Econoline - Van and something happened with the transmission (automatic), full fluid level its OK but when into 1 and 2 .... the truck runs good but for 3rd and 4th the RPMs go up and up (foot on gas accelerating), but the truck doesn't speed up .... i'm stuck on 1st and 2nd...
That has got to be the easiest access location for a dip stick transmission. I have a Japanese car ,and I had to turn into Mr. Fantastic (Fantastic Four) to reach it!
I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with a 4.7 litre. She was driving it when it acted like it went into netural. When I started it up it wouldn't go into any gear. I put it into drive and no movement same for reverse. I changed the filters and fluid, but no difference. I was told that it could be the pressure switch or the trans. pump...Do you have any advice?
@casharoonie the same thing just happened to me yesterday and in look for the answer but cant find it on youtube. did you find out what was? I have a 96 jeep cherokee.
hey guys .. i have a chevy k1500. the tranny shudders in overdrive just before it kicks into regualr drive.. i heard it is the torque converter. but i was also told that there is an adjustment or something to do with vacuum, and i dont think that is right..can you help me? greasemonkey66
alright so i work on a lot of engines but thats the thing ENGINES lol not a transmision guy, i bought a truck and it will shift but when i hit the gas the engine will rev but i will not accelerate, i know it is in gear because it is an automatic and when i put in in gear it will move slowly on its own like any normal car, i believe it is the transmision fluid but idk what else it could be

-Solenoid problem ?
-Should I reset by disconnecting battery ?
-No OD light flashes in dashboard.
-No ''CHECK ENGINE'' light.

@chevy5994 sounds like the clutches are slipping inside the transmission. what kindof car is it
