lol, I actually never thought about playing piano style with a guitar, but maybe I should try that too.

I started playing Frets on Fire/Jamlegend with the keyboard because I didn't have a guitar. After almost a year I decided to buy a guitar...And noticed that I suck with it :D So I'm still playing with keyboard most of the time, because I'm ways better like that. I guess I will try piano style with my guitar soon, that's a great idea.

Btw, nice FC. The song isn't very hard, but not easy either

@MagicalGirlChise Thanks! No it's not very hard, the only part I struggled with was the 2 fast strumming parts in the solo... I'd always mess up in on or the other! I hope guitar style worked all right, I guess it's not much different than playing with the keyboard, it's probably easier in fact! And more fun :)

Actually piano style just works to a certain degree for me. I obviously have problems with the strum bar, because I'm not used to it. But besides that, I can't hit fast solos with the guitar piano style yet, because the space between the notes is bigger than on the keyboard and I also need to get used to that.

So I still play with my keyboard most of the time :P But I still try to improve with the guitar :)

It has it's pros and cons... I think it's harder for most people, but I have a strong piano background, so probably easier for me :) If you check out my channel page, there's a link with an interview about me and my playing style that answers that question in more details!

Thanks! :) It has it's good and bad sides, I'd say it's similar, but something really helping is that my wrist doesn't get tired playing this way XD And I agree, the frets are exactly the size of piano keys.. and it's so much fun playing this way too!

Haha no not in a day... but you can definitely switch and get as good even though you don't start this way.. I actually got ~25 GH3X FCs the normal way before I tried this style.. And then it took a couple weeks for me to FC harder songs again, but I did have a strong piano background :) I had to start this way with another game though (GH2X), 'cause I was just too confused to play songs I was already used to!

the hard part about the solo IMO is the upstrum switches slowing me down so i ended up speeding up.. guess i didnt realize the solo also speeds up lol

That's what I did too... I initially thought the solo was speeding up, but I don't think it is after all.. I think I just speed up to make it easier to get the fast chord changes >_>
