  • Helen Shapiro, Timi Yuro, Brenda Lee, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Edith Piaf, Nina Simone, Billy Holliday, Joan Baez sont les meilleures chanteuses de tous les temps... ( liste ouverte bien sûr ! )

  • Just beautiful singer :)

  • helen shapiro ROX!

  • This wonderful lady is rather like Amy Winehouse, only Helen's a better singer and much prettier than Amy!

  • you are joking,, amy winehouse is nowhere near helen, she was not on drugs she sang with her heart not her mixed up brain..

  • @rumjockey are you joking amy winehouse sings with her heart listen to love is a losing game then get back to me (PS love Helen but unlike you I don't have to be a dick to other artists to praise her)

  • Both are Helen & Amy are Jewish-Britons! Jews are very talented people, all over the world.

  • how dare you compare someone normal with %$#/)( ?

  • Yes....You Are Right.

  • She has a wonderful voice

  • A UK treasure !, thanks for the clip.

  • Excellent clip. That's Norrie Paramour conducting the band.

  • awesome

  • the most music the make the last years are happy lalala and blablabla songs.

  • jilhal24 i am bietbijter22 i am dutch but i can read englisch you totaly right the only thing what count`s on today`s music in how you look big boobs good body shit like that

  • Can you say...CLASS? Helen Shapiro is respectable and classy, something we almost never see from today's artists. Where has decency gone in popular culture?

  • helen was in ..ITS TRAD DAD 1962(with CRAIG DOUGLAS) as well as PLAY IT COOL 1962 (with BILLY FURY)...its trad dad was released in USA titled as RING-A-DING RYTHM....NORRIE PARAMOUR was the guy who guided helen to stardom as he did with lots of others incl CLIFF ,

  • she was 15

  • Great stuff, how old was she there?

  • C'est merveilleux de se dire qu'un son comme ça a un jour existé. Au moins ils savaient faire de jolies choses avant!

  • I think I am in love with her too, as I have been playing her clips everyday for the past 3 months.

  • I am in love with this lady. I want to learn more about her. What great clips. Thanks for enriching my life. After a lifetime of collecting female singers, how in the world did I let Helen Shapiro slip by???

  • ..you could always read her autobiography "Walking Back to Happiness".

  • this is one of the greatest songs i have ever heard a lot of people sure missed the boat not promoting her correctly.

  • In my top three best songs of all time - and certainly my favoutite video clip. Saw this film in the late seventies on TV and remember it had this great song in it, but in the pre VCR multi-media age I had to wait two decades to see it again on TV and find out what it was. Worth the wait.

  • this is a clip from a billy fury movie called ' play it cool' she also sings ' i dont care' in the movie.

  • The song sung in this video by Helen Shapiro titled: "cry my heart out" is my third favorite song, my second favorite song: "you don't know" and my favorite song titled: "Sometime yesterday". At current Helen Shapiro is singing gospel music, and as a christian that I am makes me respect her that much more. Helen keep up the great work. Regards: Henry Pope

  • was she in same school class as marc bolan??

  • "all the world can take a holiday" - what an English thing to say.

  • wieki tego nie sluchalem ciagle fajne

  • You can't compare Helen to Brenda Lee-one was a former child star with a country pedigree the other a London born Jewess who had singing lessons and wnated to sing jazz-which she does nowadays,

But her high school pop was more interesting

  • that sound takes me back to a simple time. the compostion in that video -- so cool! i'm replaying this one tonight!

  • Superb talent but I think she was mis-managed at a crucial time in her career. She was at least as good as Brenda Lee who I worship.

  • Nice, very nice. Beats my old video recording.

    Much appreciated.

  • How old was she, 14, 15? what a voice!

  • I Have now deleted the other version of "Cry my heart out" in favour of this one. Thank you Plushhoney, Bedouinboy, Newford27 and xtryd for your comments on the other one.

  • Hi, I'm french and looking for the lyrics of this song. I can't find them after several researches. Can you help me ? thanks

  • The reason it sounds different is because this is the original sound from the film. whereas the other one was a CD version dubbed over the film, which is why the other one was out of sync. when I was having difficulties putting it on Youtube.

  • Thanks! BUT the sound is not as good as the other clip.

    Thanks anyway,

    and look forward to MORE!

    Yonatan

  • check mine out for a better copy

  • I did! ...and thank you: it's GREAT! :-)

  • Thanks for putting this on again. It's much better.Isn't she great
