guaravdawg, they are sitting because some of them are missing legs or have been amputated from the knee down. It's a little harder to play volleyball with 1 leg.

Goalball looks intense and extremely hard, I can't even imagine how good there reflexes are for being blind and trying to stop a ball coming at them at 40+ mph.

If you notice in goalball all of them are wearing blindfolds and while there playing everything is silent. so basically everyone is blind or they have seeing disabilities and they have to use there ears to hear where the ball is coming from.
