The MANGA and the ANIME storylines are totally different....well not totally but mostly. The kid "Wrath" that we know in the Anime isn't in the Manga version. The Anime version of Pride is "Wrath" in the Manga verse. The Pride in the manga version is a small kid named Selim...King Bradley adopted son...supposedly.

I live by He's male. Basing it off of anatomy and histories in both anime and Manga. Also, in The movie, Conqueror of Shamballa, Hoenheim refers to Envy as his son.

And his real form looked sorta male. So even in english He's a guy...

No, Elric is actually Hohenheims' mothers name.Besides, in the manga Ed and Envy aren't related, as, although Hohenheim and Father are related, Dante does not exist, therefore no William.

Actually it is revealed in the manga that Elric is Trisha's last name that she gave to Ed and Al. Hohenheim, if he even has a last name, has not been revealed to have one. So it is unknown what William/Envy's true last name as a human was. Elric = Trisha's maiden name.
