  • there there, they're there

this song really seems like its about schizophrenia, or in different terms, being deceived.

  • I regret that I wasnt there

  • there's 8 moms that should have had abortions

  • And Johnny plays it with a satchel dragging him down.

    That's true art.

  • This performance changed the whole way I heard this song.

  • love it! but anybody can tell me what this song is about?

  • @iamdono I think it's about Homer's Odyssey, but that's just me, it seemed to fit.

  • i think this is the best version of all

  • How dare you people try to describe this video with mere words?! HOW DARE YOU?!

  • Besides, how is watching someone open and close their mouth in various ways more interesting than watching a drummer get visceral with his kit, a keyboardist having a cathartic experience via the conduit of his instrument (see Ray Manzarek), a guitarist - especially one of Greenwood's calibre - thrashing the guitar during a raucous solo,

  • For fuck's sake camera operators, THERE ARE PEOPLE IN BANDS OTHER THAN THE LEAD SINGER, AND THAT ROLE IS IN NO WAY MORE INTEGRAL TO THE MUSIC THAN ANY OTHER. I am so fucking exasperated at all this vocalist-worship bullshit... They're typically the only member anyone can name or recognize, even if the band in question is professed to be their 'fave'. I'm gonna make my ensemble instrumental.

  • just a great band, love them.

  • god I love this song !

  • Jonny losing himself in the music is a beautiful sight.

  • @whiteshadow1110 How could you not lose yourself in this amazing song? :)

  • 7 people haven´t been "There There" yet...

  • I want that guitar

  • @NiggaNielsen which one jonny's or thoms, i want both

  • @PlanetAirsoftPlym I don't want the guitars, I want them!!!!;)

  • this is the song that made me fall in love with radiohead. it holds a special place in my heart.

  • There is no right or wrong answer to music, let there be DRUMS!!

  • my mom asked me if i was tired of radiohead...i said mom thats not possiable there to amazing every time you listen to them there better.

  • @zachkam1 the only thing my mom asks me is whether i'm on drugs.

  • i got chills when they came in at 4:37

  • 0.08 jonny is a stalone? O.o

  • I think the Beatles and Nirvana were great for the way they changed the direction of music in their time periods, but neither could reach the level of greatness and emotion that Radiohead can.

  • The only person who has done more for music and is as diverse and amazing is John Frusciante , and I think thats just taste, they are equal , Radiohead and John Frusciante are the best!!

  • Thom always seems a bit down in all their other shows. This is probably my favourite recording of them, because Thom seems to be really enjoying himself.

  • Dude! What I would given to have been there to listen to greatness!

  • look at my version of There There

Search: Radiohead - There There - Synchronized with Wizard of Oz (HD)

  • it actually causes me pain to watch this; it's so incredible

  • @SamuelHellDay I notice this alot. Mind, I saw them live a couple years back and it was his birthday and he was evidently drunk as hell, and for once he was leaping around like a fool ^___^

  • wow, Jonny really attacks those drums....

  • radiohead is great but compared to the Beatles? Nirvana? they cant touch that yet.

  • @Itsjames1 seriously? The beatles? Nirvana? I think you might be right if considering influence and impact rather than musical value

  • @Itsjames1 hahahaha Nirvana hahahahah lmao. Nirvana.. hahahahahaha

  • @Itsjames1 NIRVANA?AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SAYING, ARE YOU SERIOUS? Nirvana played only one kind of rock, and their only album that is almost good is ''Nevermind''. And is not even an half of ''Ok Computer'' (just to compare two rock albums).

  • @Idiotequeification Well... half of Ok Computer is already fucking great...

  • just fucking look at johnny go !

  • those 7 dislikes were probably republicans.

  • Thom Yorke seems really down to earth. I like that in a rocker! lol

  • @nariel82unfold Incredibly accurate description of the "radiohead-fan-ing" process.. Well done!

  • 4:37

  • At 1:10 & 2:34, gettin' a little feedback luv from the ac30...

    ("oooh, luv that vox"...)

  • @Horaciow14 oh dude. if this is already depressing for you, you certainly have no idea how fucking dark it gets in other RH songs. It will scare the living daylights out of you. i shit you not.

Radiohead takes you to a place of meaningful depression, lets you wander alone for a while and after confronting your own demons takes you to a place of maximum beauty. and I am confident genuine RH fans

have already felt this way at one point.

  • @nariel82unfold I like the music of this song, but his voice doesn't match the music in my taste, plus i don't understand much of what he's saying

  • @Horaciow14 *boingks* that was a minute i've wasted on you that i will never get back. goodluck with your radiohead-less life or whatever.

  • Like radio in my head

  • Unbelievably great band. Amazing song. I'd have an insta-orgasm too if I was in Thom's shoes...

    0:16

  • GOOSEBUMPS !

  • hello RadioHead

  • Truly fucking amazing. N da shout by Thom sums it up.

  • the best crowd for the best band

  • Does it get any better than this?? These guys are amazing......

  • There is something about Radiohead, something that just draws me to want to listen to more and more. They are so amazing and unique.

  • @Theincredibledrummer It's called: Being awesome. It's very rare.

  • Why is it that Radiohead is almost never on the radio??? Seriosuly WTF?

  • @cheezombie You have to have brains to listen to Radiohead...radio only cares how many breath mints it sells...

  • @clyde8her But you'd think that if Radiohead is so popular without being on the radio, then if it was, they could sell even more breathmints. Right?

  • @cheezombie Great point but radio plays what they want us to think is popular...

  • I am 58 and I'll be damned if I have seen another group quite like Radiohead...They are truly amazing in their intensity...They encorporate so many aspects of music in their stuff...

  • RH are just incredible, the only regret i have with them is that the have only realised 1 album since friking 2003 !!!!

  • I get the same feeling as when i am to the greatest concert in the hole world, when i watch this...would i just like...die, if i saw Radiohead live??

  • @MrSimoncr Funny you should say that...I was in this crowd, and my exact thought was "If I die now, I will die a happy woman!" =)

  • the drums sounds like some kind of shaman dance

  • pigeon pigeon pigeon!!!! acid + glasto = happy me

  • This song is so intense. Loooooove it.

  • Theyre really amazing !

  • amazing!!!

  • What is Thom saying at 0:32?

  • @buzzbigwig730 He says "are we ready? oh we are" to the sound guys

  • @buzzbigwig730 I think he says good eveving. I have no clue.

  • maravilhoso som!!!

  • i love that little yell at the beginning

  • personal favorite

  • These guys will never suck.

  • a perfect song

some of the lyrics could be sung by Silas Miner

  • I love the druming!

  • PHIL! PHIL! PHIL!

  • Radiohead songs somehow seem to get even better every time I hear them.

  • If that's the case, then I have to say Ravel is better than Chopin...

  • @Avanau Beethoven could kick both their asses seven ways to Sunday ;-p

  • Just cause you feel it, doesnt mean its there..

  • The crowd pulses like a human heart as ghostly tones fill the pale blue air.. no one goes home the same, not after witnessing something this perfect.

  • i wish they'd come back to Australia. Missed out on a ticket to their Melbourne show. Thom was sick the second night and they had to cancel.

  • @drweth89 I thought they'd stopped playing Australia?

Since they've become all concerned about the environment.

  • @julz1278 Yeah I heard that too. Wish they'd come back! They toured for Hail to the Thief back in 2004.

  • @drweth89 Really?

I hope it's just a rumor, Radiohead are better than the environment.

  • @julz1278 I know right. top band on my list to see live and they haven't been here in 6 years, when I have the cash to see them.

  • Does categorizing bring you anywhere? You don't have to chose. You can have The Beatles, Radiohead and Pink Floyd and enjoy them all, nobody is taking them away from you. None is better than the other, because music is to enjoy, not to analize.

  • @Avanau I could not agree more. The list making fallacy :-) Although Chopin is way better than Radiohead :-p

  • @BeatriceBlake chopin was a master of the piano, emotion, passion, and rubato. But he is far from the greatest composer because of his lack of diversity in terms of composing for different instruments. He is also not the best romantic composer

Radiohead is the greatest of the rock genre in my opinion.

    Depends on what you like

  • @elurseeknay Oh snap! You just whaled on Chopin!

So what would be interesting is a Josh Homme/ Thom Yorke/ Dave Grohl collaboration I think.............

  • @BeatriceBlake I love chopin

  • @Avanau anal-ize. hahaha. clever pun. : |

  • how?

  • air traffic started around 2005... this song's been around since the early 2000... radiohead has been around since the 90s, so in a way, it's radiohead who influenced air traffic...

  • @sgtpopoy That´s pretty obvious

  • you are truly ignorant

  • jajajajajaja fuckin' idiot

  • Comment removed

  • Best band of our times and the second best ever.

    Peace

  • It sucks to be radiohead man...you'd get cancer deciding what to play before a set...:)

  • Hehe lmao

  • SUCH a good opener!!

  • Whenever I listen to Radiohead I get this feeling that my soul is being twisted into a ball of yarn by a musical kitten. Meaning that radiohead has my mind blown in a good way lol.

  • Very different bands in my opinion. Oasis are city rockers who wrote anthems, Radiohead write more experimental music and keep evolving, Blur were somewhere in between.

  • @solblos

Have you heard Blur's 13 and Think Tank?

Among those 3 bands you mentioned, Blur is by far the most diverse and evolved.

But Radiohead is definitely in a different league, I agree with you on that.

  • nobody's within a million miles of radiohead :)

  • @optimisticcosmic

Where do you live? They're only down the road from me :)

  • what fuckin amazing from 4:30

  • the whole band is full of mad scientists halfway in hell lol

  • RADIOHEAD THE BEST!!

Just 'cause you feel it doesn't mean its There!

    =D

  • just because you feel it, does mean its there

  • Que buena!!!! calidad..

  • Why wasn't I there? :(

  • @imbongg gorillaz are good man but damn not even in the same ballpark.

  • the best...

  • Radiohead are on the same level as the likes of The Beatles. Radiohead are DIMENSIONS better than Gorillaz, it's not even funny how much better they are.

  • @bigdunk9 I will most likely get panned for saying this but I think that Radiohead are better than The Beatles and that they are on par with Bob Dylan, who I believe to be the greatest lyricist/songwriter of all time.

  • Hey man you won't get panned! (Lest not by me anyway) music is made of opinions, so it would be ignorant of me to say you're wrong. Dylan is a great lyricist I agree, but in terms of bands, overall sound, artistic progression. Radiohead are second only to The Beatles IMO. I was just correcting some idiot who compared them to Gorillaz which is wrong on so many levels!

  • Yeah I hear ya, Gorillaz aren't even close. And you are most likely right, I tend to change my mind about who's better Radiohead/The Beatles all the time. I wish all these kids who listen to garbage stuff like Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers would start opening their eyes to bands like Radiohead, Spoon, Sigur Ros, Fugazi and the like.

  • @ilike999999999

Yeah, same here man. Either way they are both phenomenal, the likes of Miley Cyrus/Jonas Brothers should not be allowed to make music, it is ruining youth. Promoting corporate bullshit will kill music (if it hasn't already) the last decade was definitely the poorest for music in my opinion.

  • you mean the 90's? I personally think the 90's and the 60's were the best decades for music. If you were referring to the 2000's then you are most likely right, It was a pretty bad decade for music when compared to others.

  • @ilike999999999

Nope, I mean the 'noughties' haha, (horrible term). I agree the 90's and the 60's are my two favourite periods for music too. Even the 80's was considerably better than the 'noughties'

  • the dacade following 2020 should be great then!

  • @ilike999999999 Gorillaz are wicked cool. just like Beck, they're funky and badass. they don't need to be Radiohead, nor do they want to.

  • @ilike999999999 I agree with you about Radiohead being better than the Beatles, but I still retain my opinion that Pink Floyd surpasses both by miles.

  • Foda!

  • that has to be the best live performance ive ever heard..... WOW

  • Greenwoood rocks out, Coxon stands still like a boring assshole

  • its funny how there was that big load of nonesense between blur and oasis and radiohead where around being quietly far better than both

  • The best song I've ever heard...

  • Blur and Damon Albarn could only dream of being mentioned in the same breath as Radiohead and Thom Yorke. Sorry, Gorillaz was fun while it lasted but not going to be remembered 5-10 years from now and beyond. Same thing with Blur.

  • The greatest band in history

  • @Maulstunk toooooo fucking right

  • LOL.... gorillaz it seems will never sell out a concert like that.

  • walkin disaster...

  • will I ever be able to listen to other bands again :/ ...RH is sooooo addicting!

  • give t"v on the radio" a listen

    and "minus the bear"

these bands are not amazing like radiohead, but they are good bands

  • @Ofqa completely summed how im feeling up right there.

  • @Ofqa no!

  • "Just cus you feel it, doesnt meen its there" that sentence explains it all

  • blurs just fine. radiohead is great. fact!

  • Blur makes random stupid music.

Radiohead is the best band in the world.

    Fact !

Don't bother commenting bad stuff about me, for saying that.

Cause I won't care or respond.

  • damon tiene buena voz,y suenan originales,lo único que no me gusta de blur es que en vivo no dan lo máximo de ellos, pero en el estudio hacen un buén trabajo

  • It isnt a competition between Radiohead and Blur - Let them both be great bands!

  • i dunno, blur's music seem to be so much more underwhelming in comparison.

    i would go with radiohead.

  • thom yorke.

  • damon albarn is underrated as fuck

hes one of the best songwriters of all time imo

I still like radiohead more, but cmon, stop dickriding thom

  • Comment removed

  • the crowd from 4:45 are amazing!!! i love that feeling!

  • radiohead are 100 times better than blur.

  • sorry,4736487238 times better than blur

  • how you can say damon albarn is better that thom yorke defies belief. some of damon albarn stuff is just boring. Thom york, pure class

  • it's thom yorke

  • Typo police are onto you cantstopstealing.

Seriously, he spelled correctly the first time, like you would pick him up on what is clearly a typo?

  • lol

  • Oh I feel it Thom!

  • doesnt mean its there though

  • THEY ARE PERFECTION!!!

  • Anyone know what guitar Thom is using? Its beautiful. I need to know.

  • Looks like an old Epiphone...not sure though...

  • Yes

This is a Epiphone Century E-422T

    Nice Vintage Guitar!!!

  • Gibson ES 125-T

  • I was there. I didn't actually think they played as well as they usually do that night - they were much tighter a few weeks later in Cardiff. Thom was losing his voice by the end of the HTTT tour. Regardless, Radiohead on a bad day are better than Blur at there best (who are currently on the main stage right now, sounding.. fairly good)

  • There's no sound checks at festivals though, so the sound might not be at its optimum.

I thought Blur's set was epic py the way.

  • Blur had their moments, but to me they still sound like four mere mortals, producing stuff within the realms of possibility for most decent musicians. Radiohead have songs and sounds from a different planet, more like Ennio Morricone and Steve Reich than average blokes in a pub.

  • Obviously Radiohead's music is very different from Blur, bought i thought they put on a real good show the other night.

And you can't help but admire Coxon's guitar work, even Jonny has said that he loves it.
