Can anyone please tell me what does Robert F. Kennedy, the senior, had to say himself on marriage equality between races and genders? Where can I get material on that?
Does anyone know why his voice sounds that way. I'm not trying to be rude, I was just curious because it kind of sounds like he has throat cancer or something.
Spasmodic dysphonia is a neurological disorder affecting the voice muscles in the larynx, or voice box. When we speak, air from the lungs is pushed between two elastic structures—called vocal folds or vocal cords—with sufficient pressure to cause them to vibrate, producing voice (see figure). In spasmodic dysphonia, the muscles inside the vocal folds experience sudden involuntary movements—called spasms—which interfere with the ability of the folds to vibrate and produce voice.
The right to love is one of the most basic human rights of all. Nobody should be denied the opportunity to have a family, to have children, because of their sexual orientation. To deny fellow citizens these rights is Un-American. We are better than that. This issue too is "a moral issue, as old as the scriptures, as clear as the constitution." Thank you Robert for showing the American people, again, the kind of country we can be, the kind of country we should be. Your father would be so proud.
This is a smart and well-worded statement from RFK, Jr. He calls it like it is. 'Tis a pity that he had no desire to pursue a national political career, for he would have made a great senator from the state of New York.
It is indeed a sad state of affairs when all Americans can not enjoy their civil rights, you know? The ones guaranteed in the Constitution and the D of Independence? This is not a country of only a few or only the majority, it is a country for all. ALL !!!
Until adults understands that the love between two men or two women is as sacred as the love between a man and a woman, then they consciously and unconsciously promote homophobia and the violence that it leads to. Reeducate the adults and the children will follow. Or maybe our children will reeducate us, and we will follow them.
Thumbs up RFK JR. Virginia has been on the wrong side of every important federal issue since the signing of the Dec. of Ind. It is the most backward state. Do not spend your travel vacation money in VA. Spread the word. That's the only thing we can do. Hurt them in the all-important wallet! BOYCOTT VIRGINIA!
@laughlovelaura Hi Laura, yes you are right! There are a-lot of good people in VA. Some of the friends I have are native VA whose families have been here hundreds of years. It is just too bad though that they are not the majority in VA. Perhaps in time!
@strafrag1 yeah i guess i was just offended for a second hahah, and that is a sad sad truth people here the majority are like that. Even one of my closer friends is very homophobic, and close minded in general, we get into arguments a lot about almost every thing.
Another sad day for the Kennedys. Outrageous comparison. It takes courage to stand for morals which the Kennedys are not known for doing in recent years.
Only Sargent Shriver and Eunice Kennedy upheld ethics in this latest generation.
Why do we want to control everyone? Government free marriage is the only way to fix this issue. Time to change the argument. Why are we asking the government to control our lives? Why do we want the government to recognize anything? For or against should not be the argument, government free marriage NOW!
@sarah9miller Because legally recognized marriage brings a host of rights, privileges, protections, responsibilities, obligations, and benefits to the married couple, to each other, and any children they may have. Bottom line is it protects the individuals in the relationship, it protects the couple in society, and it protects their children with legal recognition of their committed bond to one another and the family that they are.
@awomaninva55 There have been several "smart" Kennedy's, not the least of which are President John F Kennedy, Senator Robert F Kennedy, and Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy.
Same Sex Marriage Is Immoral & Is A Sin!!! so RFK is a Pinhead NOT a Patriot
