@JTelli786 It would be on the PS3, since Factor 5 jumped ship from Nintendo to Sony...like Rare did moving from Nintendo. Sadly, neither company made any worthy games afterwards (if they bothered to make any at all)
@metaXzero I think so. Lair was a flop since the controls to relied a lot on using the SixAxis for moving your character; and it didn't work well. They later made a patch to make the controls regular dual-analog, but it was too late.
damn the gamecube had epic graphics back then how the hell did it get a bad reputation? i mean the graphics on all the games were the best and the controls were simple and comfy to use it doesnt make sense >_>
@0n0a0m0e The Gamecube could process graphics almost on par with Xbox 1. The problem is the stubborn reputation from the N64 era. Nintendo is very harsh to 3rd parties, which was somewhat relaxed when they announced that the GameCube was going to use discs instead of cartridges. It didn't matter if they did, because the PS1 already had a huge fanbase that used CD-ROM for game content even if the graphics were a pixelated mess. Third parties avoided the GameCube because of that rep.
@alucard1931 Cube was amazing. Xbox had a distinct advantage, however, with it's it's hard drive, DVD and higher RAM. I had great years as an owner of both systems. Gave the PS2 a miss.
@0n0a0m0e: It got a bad reputation because it (was difficult to develop for and) had fewer games.
For my money, I'd rather have fewer better games than a lot of mediocre games (like the Xbox and Playstation do).
It is, after all, a capitalist economy. Quality doesn't count, quantity does. The Xbox and Playstation nicely slots into the bottom line and lowest common denominator.
@0n0a0m0e Don't exaggerate. It's true that most of GCN exclusive had awesome graphics... but the fact that most of them were released under the Nintendo seal (not giving a lot of chance for other games from other companies to get sales in that console) and also the fact that most non-Nintendo games weren't as detailed (and the GCN version of multiplatform games were usually... not as great)... well, you get the picture.
@0n0a0m0e low target, low main games multiplatform (like final fantasy, god of war and stuffs like that) and a lot of stupid people saying "omg rogue squadron sucks!!!" <.<
@0n0a0m0e It's funny how the Cube has better visuals than most of the Wii games. Sadly developers are just lazy sods with the Wii. Factor 5 pulled off this game within 8 months or so if I remember correctly. Amazing achievement. Shame Nintendo didn't rescue them. They were loyal to Nintendo. As for the bad rep. Nintendo didn't help themselves by releasing honest stats. Stating 12 million polygons next to the PS3's 75 million polygon lie helped make people believe the Cube was the weakest
After watching what you did at 0:38 I feel like kicking myself!!!
I've owned this game since it came out and had no idea you could blow that whole thing up! I thought you had to fly in and destroy each gun manually. Wow! I feel like such an idiot. Thanks. LOL
I was about to say that "he makes it look really simple", but then I realized he actually has quite a few upgrades and is going through the level with an X-Wing, which is way stronger than the fast but easily destroyable A-Wing they give you when you first play the level. Still, compared to this guy, I'm nothing but a newbie pretending to know what he's talking about.
Great game, great console, great saga - and actually quite some great gameplay, rustymann00b!
I must be weird or something, but I find the A-Wing to be a much better fighter, especially for this mission. It's speed makes engaging those TIE fighters so much easier.
Fixed gun turrets don't stand a chance hitting an A-Wing, and it's easy to evade TIE's in one.
I get so sick of the X-Wing 'cause they make it seem like that's the only Rebel fighter there is.
U know, i tried that mission at a very different way with the a-wing, and i could have earned the golden medal, but i lost 2 more gas containers than needed. Anyway, i guess there's more than 1 way for the golden medal, oh, a good advice:
Always time urself with the enemy movements, try always to calculate the right moment to fire.
This level was one of the hardest golds for me. Death Star Escape was definitely the hardest for me though. I'd really like to see the video of the dude that beat Razor Rendezvous in 19 seconds though.
Nice to be on the offense for once...seems like in these types of games you alway have to defend something.

Factor 5 is making games for PS3, and yet no word on Rogue Squadron 4. It's a shame.

Only if they remake X-Wing or Tie Fighter first. They were much better games imo

Try looking at Gamestop, EBGames, or Flea Market shops

Or try amazon. I just ordered the game there.

They should port this game to the Wii and include wi-fi multiplayer with Wii-speak. That would probably keep me entertained for years :)

I think the balloons are Imperial Aerial Defence Stations, because the lasers are shooting from them.

The game is a Nintendo GameCube exclusive - Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, so, obviously, it's running on GameCube hardware.
