  • Yay Bailey did it under 11 but he was a damn roid monkey...Green is by far the best american sprinter of all time

  • channelfierce must be snorting coke

  • what time and who was second?

  • Wind: +0.1m/s

    1. Maurice Greene (USA) 9.79 World Record

    2. Ato Boldon (Tri) 9.86 (equal Personal Best & National Record)

    3. Bruny Surin (Canada) 9.97

  • my cross country coach has worked with Maurice Greens, and i've met him. hes from KC.

  • wat does cross country have to do with sprinting dickhead?

  • Maurice Greene = sprinting perfection.

  • Fact.

  • Best sprinters ever, gotta be Maurice Greene, Michael Johnson, and Frankie Fredericks

  • but when asafa broke the world record he slowed down at the end and he still broke it. Fuck the wind, winning is winning.

  • powell ran his 9.74 WR with 1.7m/s tail wind. Green ran 9.79 with only .1m/s wind. i think green was the better runner. and tyson gay ran 9.84 with a .5 head wind...watch out for GAY

  • everytime asafa has broken a record,he has had the best conditions you can ever get.fast tracks and lots of tail wind both times he beat the record.green didnt have that advantage.

  • Powerback, Asafa has a much longer stride than mo.

  • I would take Greene in his 1999-2001 form to beat any sprinter ever over 100m.

  • even though asafa had his wind advantage i rekon he woulda run that fast eventually but everybody knows he's a choker in the big events and people dont remember a wr after its broken they remember gold and no 1 can take that away from you. biatch

  • lol who ever siad 39 seconds seems slow for 100m. it was 39 seconds cause it's in slow mo

  • dude you must either be younger than 9 or a retard

  • actually gatlin was, but he was on dem drugs.. i don't know why but he still would have been fast with out them but he wouldn't been runnin a 9.76 or 9.77 probably like a 9.85 between a 9.95

  • 45.5 strides for Greene here. Asafa Powell's latest world record took him 45.

  • /watch?v=9uVXaNkLqpE#GU5U2spHI_4 (after the youtubedotcom

the future world record holder...he's 15 in this vid

  • Speed at a young age has nothing to do with speed as an adult... Good luck to him

  • u are so fucking stupid lol

    nothing to do with it...

how the hell do u think the pro sprinters are so good

cause they have dedicated their lives to it

not just taken it up as a hobby when they hitt 25...

  • Actually, Patrick Johnson (the only non-west-african to run under 10sec) only started seriously sprinting when he was 24. And he still turns up at the beginning of the season with a bit of a paunch.

  • =O I non-west-African sprinter! I've never seen/heard of one of those!

  • yeah thats why donovan bailey did run under 11 seconds until he was in his 20's

  • he did or didnt run under 11 ?

  • Comment removed

  • also powell had a +1.0 wind advantage wich is huge

  • Powell ran a 9.78 with 0 wind

  • I don't know, 39 seconds for the 100 meters seems pretty slow to me.

  • you thicko, its in slo mo

  • greene was great but his time has passed asafa rules the sprints now.

  • Greene is the GOAT. This race was run with a poor reaction time and a poor 70-80m section. Without such errors Greene woulda done 9.75 [+0.1]

His Edmonton 9.82 [-0.2] is even greater. He suffered injuries at 65-70m and ran through them, grimacing and limping heavily for his final 8-10 strides. Without such injuries, Greene would've annihilated everybody with a 9.73 at the very slowest! 9.73 [-0.2] truly is a performance worthy of this man, the GOAT

  • Da Goat!
