  • I wanted to meet keiko so badly! I miss you! ):

  • I remember when he died, I cried my eyes out for days, my biggest dream was to meet him.

  • Can i ask whr is keiko's grave located at ?

  • @tingting77 it's on Norway

  • @NYAsHGirL14 Thanks NYAsHGirL ... Oslo is the nearest right ?? Hows the weather in Feb like ?? thanks

  • I miss u keiko... ♥

  • Instead, Without an organized plan and rational thinking, they marched unknowingly out into the dark. Which is something that I would expect from doctors. Although, it was the scientists naive judgment of only following theory that lead them to make this huge mistake. One of which I hope that they have reflected a pone. Still, I don't believe in gambling a life, Whether it be an animal or a human.

  • I agree, the scientists did understand that there was a slim change of him surviving out in the wild. But its a change that they were willing to take, I suppose?Still, I believe that they should have kept a better eye on him. Did a full examination of the animals health. Maybe if they had done this, then Keiko would have been able to survive. I don't think that the care takers of Keiko took the proper steps in insuring the whales safety.

  • but i don't get it... how did the poor keiko die?

  • Okay for those of you who have seen Free Willy it might sound like I'm quoting Dile when I say Gosh I miss that whale! :'( get it? how he sits there through the whole movie and says "GOD I HATE THAT WHALE!"

  • Two kings in this video

    Keiko and Michael Jackson

Keiko is the king of the whales and Michael J the king of pop

Both died :( Both of them Rest in Peace <3

  • @Mermaidzzzz its just an under water scene

sorry for the very late response but it didnt notify me ur question for some reason

  • your an idiot if you think scientists killed him he was dying hence why they did what they did if anything they prolonged his life..you need to do your research into everything that happened they didnt just abandon him in the wild he left because he wanted to the pen was open 24/7 and they followed him to norway and even took the destitution to start feeding him again as there was no fish in the fiord, they achieved what they set out to do training a captive whale to defend and feed himself

  • @xMorvx are u talking to me who uploaded this video? or the recent comment posted by "browngreen00"

I never put in the video saying that mankind killed them.

  • @NYAsHGirL14

i wasnt aiming it at you it was at the person who was aiming it at the person who said that the people who freed him killed him

  • @xMorvx ok that's fine, I was just making sure.

  • @xMorvx lol lol that was almost hard to follow. But I think it made sense. :D

  • the ppl who caught him for money killed him the people of oregon paid over 7 million dollars to get him better and he got better they didnt kill him keiko was old he loved the ppl who took care of him dearly and being released was good he lived freedom to his fullest so blame the ppl of norway they truly killed him...if they kept him they would have killed for his meat to give to africa

  • @browngreen00 I agree.. and just making sure.. were you making that comment out to me or your just saying in general because I hope this video didnt make you think that people killed him.

  • did anybody else cry at this?

  • @screaminginthedark77 I did, GOSH I MISS THAT WHALE! :'(...

  • Really wonderful video , I think I will cry !!!

  • poor keiko. R.I.P. we'll never forget you keiko, with all your whaley awesomeness. he was a great whale.

  • i dont sopport orca whales being held in captivity. how could people take a whale away from it's natural habitat and family to be in an isolated dolphin tank

  • 'There is little to be learned by watching three-ton mammals in an oversized swimming

pool... there's a fine line between teaching people to value wildlife, and parading these

animals for witless amusement. There is a danger we will see more, not less,

exploitation of wildlife - an exploitation that is all the while touted as 'educational'!'

    (Alton Chase, US columnist, 1989)

  • this really makes me feel so sad, I saw all three movies today, before even watching this vid.

So to notice that he now was dead almost made me cry .

Both the whale and the song will forever be in my head and hearth,

  • Keiko I will always miss you

  • I just finsihed watchin Free Willy and I just wanted 2 check some pics of Keiko on Google until I read on the bottom of a pic that he died..... I was freakin sad......... R.I.P Keiko

  • Keiko DIED?! *gasp* Oh my gosh...he was a great whale...he played Willy in Free Willy, right? He was my favorite Orcas, and I just can't belive he died. I saw something on the news a few years ago, and it said that Free Willy died, and I got all wide eyed inocent and ran to go tell mt Grandma, but I never thought that it was Keiko, I thought it was the little boy who helps free Willy. :,( It's so sad. Keiko, we'll miss you, and we'll never forget you.

  • Keiko was taken care of by humans after he was set free he had contact with them everyday, and by the way he died at the age of 27 for a wild orca this is extremely young ussually males live to there 60 but in captivity he would have been considered an old orca they don't live that long in captivity why is still unknown

  • i dont think a few of those pics was keiko. some of those pics didnt have those three black splogdes under his chin. if you know what i mean.

i wonder if he did actually die of phneumonia or if theyre using it as an excuse so they didnt get in trouble by fans for letting him go in the wild.

    really great video. 5 stars

  • Who ever decided to let him go was an idiot. D< Keiko was so cute... ;-;

  • Ur an idiot for saying that, its a wild animal, they dont live for us to see them perform and think they are *cute*. No animals should be kept in a cage, shame on us and shame on U

  • You're an idiot for believing everything you were told by the Free Willy Keiko Foundation. There was no doubt that freeing this whale was a very noble cause and the intention were good, but was it more for us to put a big band-aid on our big guilty consciences or actually for him himself? He never really severed the connection with his human carers, and continually sought humans out. He would've been better kept in captivity with people and other captive orcas.

  • I agree, I also get sick and tired that so called experts rear animals by hand, and then release them to the wild, for there research, and then call it a success even though it never works, animals who are not reared in the wild are never really fully equipped to survive in the wild, no matter how much ignorant , disconnected so called experts think so.

  • The survival skills they need to survive are developed during the sensitive learning periods when they are very young. 27 is young for a whale to die in the wild, what a huge failure.

  • I think they should of left captive cause appertenly he totally loved people. he didnt die of pnemiona he died of an heartache.

  • I cant believe that they were saying that they were giving him a chance to be in the wiled. He had been around people his whole life, and he loved people! He died of loneliness. People like the ones who tried to set him free disgust me. I only believe that a true wiled animal thats afraid of humans should be let loose.....not an animal that loved the pure attention of people. I cant even say how mad I am at the people who were so dumb to even think of letting him go into the wiled!

  • The scientists that put him back in the wild KNEW there was only a slim chance he would survive. Freedom killed him. Isolation from people (who where the only "pod" he knew) killed him. It was sad that he was in captivity, but he had been there since he was one year old. It's all he really knew. They had built a HUGE facility for him, ad they should have let him live out his days there - there's a good chance he'd still be alive today. He wasn't even halfway through a normal orca lifespan.

  • @RavenInTheTowerclock Yeah, but whats life in a tank compares to the vast ocean? Keiko was freed a long time ago. We know so much now that we could safely return an orca to the ocean if we really wanted to. Keiko went straight from tank to ocean. It was probably the shock of being put in a new situation so quickly that killed him. They should be put in a seapen for a while before being rejoined with their pod. That would refresh their memory of the place they once knew. Orcas deserve freedom

  • @PacificOrcas I agree with you about retiring orcas. I dislike captivity, and think its awful for their health and wellbeing. However, Keiko did spend alot of time in a seapen before he was returned to the ocean. He did have the option of always returning if he wanted. Keiko lived 5 years in the wild. His sickness he got was unfortunet but I cant blame that on the wild because he lived 5 years out there before dieing.

  • @Sakima636 i second

  • @RavenInTheTowerclock Exactly lets take the scientist out to the sea throw them in there and see how long they live -__-

  • @RavenInTheTowerclock you absolute moron.....yes ok the scientist may have made some mistakes but they did it with the best of intentions you can pour scorn on them all you wish with hindsight but u werent there fighting to free a whale who had been IMPRISONED BY HUMANS trying to undo the damage that they caused in the first place and you know what maybe freedom did kill Keiko but you know what IT IS BETTER TO DIE FREE THAN LIVE A SLAVE.

  • keiko we cant ever replace you :')

  • @ALPHAANIME we'll never replace you keiko

  • awesome video :)

    RIP keiko

  • I love this video and I really miss Keiko as free willy. But he will be in all of our hearts and our memories. We love Keiko. We will miss you Keiko and we will never forget you.
