i take it you hated the "nuff said" marvel idea they did in a bunch of their books back in like 02. the 'Nuff Said event challenged several writers and artists to tell a story without using any dialogue at all. the one i remember was the grant morrison issue of new x-men. the issue had the script in the back. it was beautifully written actually. just didnt have dialog.

Marvel Ultimate needs to stop butchering their series... seriously.

I had HIGH hopes for the Ultimate Universe at first, but then Jeph Loeb came...*sigh* guess i will head back to regular Marvel stuff

Dark Avengers # 5 i thought was really good. Moonstone & Marvel Boy got laid. & really like was being set up to come. As for the ultimates am i the only that feels enough is enough that they should be canceled; for one theres about 30 titles to buy before any of the ultimates titles every month. its just a waste of time. i think the exiles should go there & rip up that world. now that would be a good cross over. & Mighty Avengers thumbs up! Great review friend.

Thank You. You're right about the Ultimate stuff. It has definitely took a bad turn. Makes me wonder if the reboot will even work.

The Ultimate titles we're fire in the beginning. However with so many wheels spinning at Marvel its just a waste of time. Thats why writers like Bendis for example can't provide the quality because it's about quanity. How phat is my check this month? Plus the fan base isn't there like it use to. Because there's so much attention on the Dark Reign banner, plus whatevers hot with DC & other comic companies. Ultimates: it's a universe that just doesn't matter anymore. It was hot when it started.

BG, were I you I'd be even more irate than I was about his hoodwink in NA#50. I don't know how you keep buying his books. Not that you shouldn't if you're enjoying them, of course, but the sh*t he pulls sometimes is sickening, IMO.

I guess I was expecting USM to be good. NA has been weird so I skipped the most recent issue. Please tell me that the new Sorcerer Supreme isn't a total buzz kill.

I dropped NA a while a back (mostly due to Bendis' horrid characterization of the characters) but I can tell you the more significant details of the latest issue if you don't mind spoilers (like who the apparently new SS is, for one).

Essentially, its one big fight scene until the last page where Brother Voodoo is revealed to be the new SS.

Assuming you've seen the previews posted online, its all fistcuffs from there on out. The NA take on Madame Masque and the Hood tries to eliminate Damion as a possible contendor for the SS mantle. Aside from the last page a reveal (which I'll get to in a moment), the only notable happening are Cap shooting MM in the head, Spidey and the team refusing Caps offer to use to firearms, and Spidey's risible response. And, naturally, the last page reveal of the new SS as BROTHER VOODOO. I jest you not.

I liked Dark Avengers 5. Norman Osborn is one of my favorite villains and he actually brought up good points about Hawkeye and I loved Ares in this issue. Ultimatum is so far the worst comic of the year. The only thing keeping me from burning it to a crisp is David Finch's gorgeous art. The art is so detailed. I thought the art in Mighty 25 was weird and I don't know why Khoi Pham couldn't do it. American Son is going to be the best post brand new day storyline so far
