I concur this is not traditional, BUT then again traditional Pentozali is an evolution of other previous dances, so there is nothing wrong with these groups adapting, changing and evolving to make the dance more entertaining and appealing. For which that was the whole purpose of the dance to begin with - since it is a "war dance". I have seen better. Perhaps not fair since I have seen "better" in the land the dance derives from, but THESE KIDS ARE DAMN GOOD, Bravo, well done and excellent job.

you have to give them credit for trying. its hard to get out there and entertain for the festival especially when your doing 4 sets per day. The choreography could have been better and they could have put more effort into costumes.

This has nothing to do with Pentozali. You're free to dance to whichever song you like and you're free to invent steps and new dances. But why do you have to label them as Greek dances? If you're seriously interested in traditional dances, go to Greece, dance with local dance teachers, get some genuine material, there are dozens of good books, DVDs etc.

I"m glad that my kids don't learn from this teacher, that dance sucked....please learn the dance correctly or don't teach it to anyone!
