....and the rewarding meal on the table at the end of the day, i love waking up early in the morning and watching the sun rise over the hills as the duck season begins, these are some of my most fondest memories. No i do not get a THRILL of the KILL, the thrill comes with the reward of a fantastic time with mates, family and especially the sense of accomplishment in regards to the exquisite meal that will follow. Oh yea and good luck with your ban on duck shooting goals for 2012 LOL

It is necessary to kill and eat, just because i decide to harvest my own rather than purchase it at a supermarket does that make me all of a sudden a uncivilised person? whether you like it or not anything involved with meat products INVOLVES killing, there is no nice way to put it, but it's the truth. Sure i do enjoy going out for a hunt, there is nothing better than the beauty of the land..

DSE have to babysit you protesters so you dont break the law and enter waterways before 10AM and then complaine when you get a couple of stray pellts on the chinny chin chin. Also they must watch you so you dont go within 10 meters of shooters...Yes we do need more DSE officer..( To keep you lot under control )
Primitive way to get your kicks, little skill requred here, when I was involved in the Security Industry we trained with various firearms, a target, bullets not buckshot, pass or fail, no animals killed just cardboard but with accuracy as your life may have depended on it, as for a shotgun fired at a duck? no comparison these guys probably couldn't hit the side of a barn with revolver or a rifle, its sad to think the "fun" is about killing an animal, good on you Sue Pennicuik BAN DUCK SEASON!
@savecolaclibrarynow i find it funny that you think because you fire a single bullet at a stationary target, you are superior in every way to shotgun shooters. So what, i shoot rifle, shotgun and have had some experience with handguns aswell, they are all challenging in their own way. To say that shooting a moving target, flying at 60+ km/h darting around requires "little skill" is just stupid. Yea buddy, its easy, "little skill is required", and thats why skeet, trap etc are an olympic sport
Unfortunately DSE and police have to babysit your group of 'Eco anarchists' who have so eloquently prove a real danger to themselves and others, your catch cry of Eco tourism for this area has been waiting over 10 years....... And still waiting Laurie obviously no headlines there or news cameras. By the way are you thinking of paying your bill you skipped town on Laurie? Hardly Eco tourism but might help Donalds local economy don't you think........ Hypocrites!
