does that mmower have the personal pace thing? i have a toro super recycler that has it. the farther you push the handle the higher the drive ratio is. Cool video, i never had a clue how far some walk to cut their grass till now :D

Discount mower repair in Carrollton, Tx says to change your mower oil every 50 hours max. Use the correct oil.

@monkeystocks you know... that's a really good idea. i don't think i've done a thing to the mower in 3 or 4 years (pretty bad on my part), but it just keeps running great.

Nice vid. But you should really be cutting that hill from side to side -- backing down a hill with the mower above you is asking for trouble IMO.

I have a small yard business and have 18 residential accounts and have my help run the push mower. Poor guy we can get it all done it one day buy that is running from sun up to sun down and only stopping for lunch and in between yards. Needless to say, I now have a Toro Titan Z.

My lawn is just over 2/3rd's an acre. I also have a 22" toro personal pace mower and a good time for my mowing it is 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Actually I have a 'to scale' aerial photograph of my yard that is used for land surveying. I have traced the boundaries of the yard, subtracting out pavement, trees, houses, flower beds, etc.. and if I remember correctly it was less than 1-1/8 mile. So I could verify the accuracy of that Garmin.

To Clarify... I took the aerial photograph and inserted it into Autocad. Then traced a series of 20" wide paths in the same pattern I mow the yard. (20" rather than 22" allowing 1" overlap on each edge). That is how I calculated the 1-1/8 mile

They are outstanding mowers. Mine is just over four years old and I recently had my first problem with it, needed a new starter. But it's rare for one to have a problem of that nature, change the oil, plug and filter and they're usually good to go.

Working in the land surveying and civil engineering profession is what inspired my calculations on this. What would take you a high school diploma, a week and a fact checker only took me 10 minutes.

Hey nice vid. I know what that feels we have a large block and only a push mower. Summer here sos all I seem to do is mow the bloody lawn:) I'm interested getting one of those Garmin forerunners too. Do you reccomend them?? Are you a runner - thats what I want it for. Any info appreciated

The early Forerunners sucked, lost the signal all the time, but the 205 is quite good. I actually just sold mine b/c I never used it, but when I did, it was really cool knowing how far you went especially in the woods or XC skiing where you couldn't take a car or bike to measure your route. It's a little bulky and would bother my wrist a bit while mountain biking. I used to run as much as 70 miles/week when I was 25, but don't run at all anymore.
