hi dude nice video i just want to ask you if the pickups are the iron man bridge & neck and if the pickups in the ernie ball jp are better for a lead like vai etc... or you will prefer this wcr.

Hey Man, thanks for the comment. The pickups in this guitar are the Iron Man set by WCR. I absolutely love them.

I did not like the pickups in the EBMM Petrucci model. They were too bassy and just didn't sound good. I actually had them switched out to Seymour Duncan "BlackBacks," and that improved the sound somewhat.

However, I prefer the WCR's over ANY pickups I've ever played in my life. They are the best.

wow thank you so much!!! i really apreciate your help...just one more thing. do you know how are this pickups compared with emgs..wich model do you own de ceramic 8, alnico 2,3,4,5 etc... and do you think this pickups will be good with a mahogany body maple top(les paul guitar)

I've never owned a guitar with EMG's, but I've heard from others that the Iron Man set dominates them! Mine have the ceramic 8's.

My guitar is white limba (korina) with a maple top and maple neck. I'm sure the Iron Man set would work great in a Les Paul type guitar with that kind of wood.

nevermind i'm understanding more now... i meant the solo, was it all written in the same key (when dime wrote it) cuz its all over the neck.... but im starting to understand more positions in the same key

Oh, okay. I get what you're asking. You're right. . .there is a key change. At the very beginning of the clip (like all of the song before it), the song is in D. Then, at the beginning of the solo, there is a key change to A-flat. When the C note (B-string, 15th fret) is bent up to D, the key changes back for the rest of the song.

Mind you, if you were playing a guitar tuned in standard, the keys would be E/B-flat/E, but the guitar is tuned a little shy of D-G-C-F-A-D. Hope that helps!
