@musicaldg It was recorded by Weezer at some point during the Raditude sessions, but Rivers said it wouldn't make the album but WOULD be released elsewhere. Still hasn't been released yet, but I'm sure it will be at some point.

My suggestion is that if you're done with the song, remain in chill mode until it remerges and deal with it then. If, however, the song is still with you, keep listening to it. If something about it doesn't sit well, keep hunting down what it is and make suggestions for how to improve it.

It'll be interesting to see how those who are still considering moderations fare against the the big bad wolf. Man verse beast.

overall the song is spectacular! i think it's incredible how the song came to be, especially after watching it go through so many transformations. it definitely has the potential to be a hit, it just needs some tweaking to give it more definition.

also i feel the post-chorus should only happen once or twice, you do it thrice so maybe only the two at the end of the song? if you introduce too many hooks it defeats the whole purpose.

the "cream of the crop" and "turn it" are basically the same thing. they feel interchangeable. i'd suggest discarding it and using the bridge to change the song drastically. don't get quiet though!! it doesn't need a breakdown.. it needs something with a tough attitude.

the verses need to be arrange a little more sparingly, like simplify what's heard. maybe just have bass and drums to back up the vox and light rhythm guitar, but no 2nd guit parts and melodies AT ALL. establish something simple and small (smaller than what we have), then the accents (handclaps and harmonies) will be more defined. then bring in all the goodness so the chorus will sound more full by comparison.

i listened to the song in step 14 and one thing i noticed is that the vocals rest on G too often.. well not so much rest but it's like they kinda lay there and get drawn out, you know? the music overall feels smeared, if that makes any sense.

personally i would do anything to avoid reinforcing pop cliches because if you use those kinds of lines (and even melodies or rhythm structures) your song will lack a distinguishing sound/vibe and as a result, will lose it's identity.
