Lupe Fiasco Vs Talib kweli, theese rappers are often compared to each other, i just wonder who you think is better? i personall think Lupe Fiasco is better, his lyrics and flow is just better.
@Mrcharliem251 You make me laugh, u probly dont even understand half tha shit lupe says, he just has a unique flow and his new album sucks ballsak, KWELI on the other hand, always comes threw, with tha shit, that will bone ur mind. Jcole is the perfeceted version of lupe, but even he doesent touch talib. Ive heard talib fit so many words into one bar that i cudnt even repeat it when tryna to rap it. Hes tha best ever.
@ThaSubzstance Lupe's new album sucks? Have you heard gutter rainbows? LASERS is no where near as good as his othere two albums, but if you were to look it up Atlantic Records forced Lupe to make it that way, he had no choice. Talib's lyrics are easy to understand and don't have much meaning to them. Lupe uses things like metaphores and his lyrics have far more meaning to them. Gutter Rainbows is terrible!
@Mrcharliem251 man, i respect ur opinion, but gutter rainbows doesent suck, it has at least seven songs i could name. to name one COLD RAIN, is fuckin nuts,WAIT FOR YOU, SO LOW, PALOOKAS, IM ON ONE, ALL murk ANYTHING lupe puts out. Yah he says sum next shit that 5% of people would understand and it sounds cool, but why do u think people love 2pac?
@ThaSubzstance I respect Talib and Lupe, there are not many rappers out there that don't just rap for money etc. People don't care about lyrics or meaning theese days so we should be thankful we got people like Lupe and talib keeping hip-hop alive.
It's not just black people hommie... It's aimed at everyone. They try to dumb down people because they don't know the full fuman potential. Or they do and they know how catastrophic it would be if people could tap into their full potential. I'm one of those few.
I am not talking about the song i have all of j dilla songs including the Rare MCA album...but there were J dilla tribute hats that were released a while back about 200 of them but i can't seem to find it any where.....you can see it in this video at 0.16 its the one with the shinning album logo in it....
@olbobby1927 ...why didn't they play this video?? ..they didnt play it because...corporations/radio/bet believe that the people, niggers, black people etc dont like lyrics...they like to dance , they like to drink and act a fool...they dont like poetry ...or whats real!! Sad but true there is a market for niggaz ...dont believe me
??? look uo o.j. da juiceman......dude is gettin hella promotions..and he is as stereotypical as they come....why??? because there is a market for niggaz
preeeeach...if it doesn't make ringtone money, involve the formaliac bullshyt about clubs bytches and champagne, or a rap/r&b song, then you will not hear it on the radio across america unless you have sirus because clear channel radio and radio one controls the airwaves and all of their programming is virtually the same...and now viacom thx to mr. johnson is about to run BET into the ground, rather, put the final nail in their coffin. hey radio, we like more than the same shyt u play everyday
@THUGNERD81 you can't say "the man" thinks black people only like to dance. look at house music.. it goes all throughout all genres. the band blues traveler have a song called "the hook" that is about nothing at all.. and thats the point of the song. people want thought provoking music in hip hop cause the style and the poetry involved gives you that capability. the genuine will remain while the lames fade away so i'm not worried about it

Did some 11 year old just compare Soulja boy to Kweli? On some other video people are commenting that Page is better than Hendrix. WTF is wrong with people out there!
WTF how can any one compare Soulja boy to Talib Kweli? Kweli is on a whole different playing field then these lame rappers out now. Talib is one of the great rappers that doesn't sell out his music and put out garbage just to make a quick buck. When I think of the top 10 rappers of all time I think Kweli earned a spot on that list. Soulja boy wouldnt even be in the Top 200 of rappers. I rather listen to a Kris Kross CD.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You must be retarded or very funny. I can't even begin to understand you rational. Why do you think that? Talib has constantly blessed the mic with epitomizing rhymes for over a decade. Soulja boy come with that ole mundane radio shit that only people who cant think (or just don't think) like. Bottom line, every body knows Soulja boy couldn't fuck with Kweli on his worst day. I bet you even know that!!!
Kweli just breathes NY hip hop. He has that aoura about him. You can feel it in his voice, flow and lyrics. And he picks god beats too so that helps. Talib Kwlei is one of the best that EVER did it. And he won't stop.
The song and flow is just amazing. Its just way to short for my liking. No true chorus but the flow is amazing. Kweli shoulda had a 3rd verse in this. "I keep you hot but stay cooler than the night flame". Thats a sick line.
I'm waiting on my Everything Man. This is my favorite track off of Eardrum, I love the poetry opening in the beginning of the album track. I recognize the poet's voice, but I can't think of her name. Does anyone know?

Agreed. Whoever talks Soulja Boy in the same breath as Kweli ain't got a clue.
Kwe's the King. Simple.

Why would you even mention soulja boy? Why? Why? WHY?
sickc3ll 3 years ago 5
