  • So I know I'm kinda late on watching this but Picoult is talking about Nineteen Minutes... a book about what happens when someone is judged by appearence and such and the consequences of it. It's sad that people are commenting about her weight. I think those people are missing the point and need to look at themselves. I mean, what reason is there to bash someone like that? They obviously haven't read Nineteen Minutes or any book by Picoult for that matter.

  • Picoult writes with unassuming brilliance-Stephen King

  • Jodi Picoult is my favorite author!

  • afterheaven.tumblr

  • nah dont remember when she use to be hot............KNO WHY CUZ SHE NEVA WAS

  • Jodi Picoult is my inspiration for writing. Every time I finish one of her novels, millions of questions bombard me which then turns into my own novel. Jodi Picoult, I am forever grateful for you and your works of art.

  • Change of heart, just finished it last night.. sadest book ever! But still superb

    FAVOURITE AUTHOR!

  • @IsThisItMj That's my favorite book! I cried at the end, but the ending was amazing. She's such an amazing author.

  • @xvanillaperfume Same here, I have read many books in the mean time. Nothing beats it! I cried so much at the ending too. She really is!

  • she's my favorite author.

  • its sad that more people are being influenced by the media... hence they think that celebs (authors included) should all be pretty and slim and covered in thick make up all the time.. Well, wake up people! The woman you just saw in the video is what real moms look like all over the world!

  • Wow some people are ass holes. In case you haven't noticed, more people look like her than they do Adriana Lima so get over it. Not everyone looks like a model.

  • She is one of my favorite authors! Her novels are so thought provoking :-)

  • she is such an inspiration for writing. I LOVE HER.

  • I luv them all and her signature is the twists! My fave is NINETEEN MINUTES!! And then THE PACT, CHANGE OF HEART, MY SISTERS KEEPER, KEEPING FAITH, ect ect

  • Nineteen Minutes was awesome.

  • i loved the tenth circle

  • All of her books are amazing, but I especially love My Sister's Keeper and Change of Heart. Jodi Picoult seems like so personable, too - totally the kind of person you'd want to meet and get to know.

  • @rosek102 Ehh, she's okay, but she's not as amazing as people think. She's really nice and everything, but she isn't this amazing person that everybody thinks, I live in Hanover and I'm friends with her son.

  • Okay...and what author would you consider has talent and perception?

  • i understand that everyone has a right to their own opinoin, but if this is the opinion you have, keep it to yourself. this was rude. and postiting it shows how obnoxious you are

  • ur joking

  • my sisters keeper is my favorite!

  • yea mine too!! and Mercy too, beautiful story line

  • Her books are INCREDIBLE. I love them all.

  • Jodi Picoult is one of my most favorite authors!

and omg her house is soooooo amazing!

i would love to live there

i would write a book every day

    hahahhaa

  • Jodi picoult is one of the only authors that can make me connect so closely with her characters, she has some magical way of creating the people in her novels come to life so that they are no longer trapped in the pages of a book but are simply living breathing people that you feel you have known for a long time. most of the time you get a great book and then the follow-ups are nowhere near as good but Jodi writes so well its unfathomable how well she does it.

  • the picture on the back of the book was old. who cares? we dont read her books because she has a nice headshot. we read her books because they are enrapturing.

  • Vermont is so gorgeous.

  • WOO! Go Jodi! You write the best plays EVAH!

  • HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE HER NAME!

  • it souds like peeco

  • @lockandkeygirl Like Jodi Pee-ko

  • i think she is very pretty. and i'm in love with her books!

  • I love Jodi Picoult's books. She is my favorite author. For all you guys with the mean comments, I must say, what have you done with your lives?

  • It's weird to see and hear someone you know only from a book.

  • I know!!!!! I thought she looked soooooo different on the back off the book.

  • I just want to reflect on the fact that nomatter how intelligent, thoughtful, or successful a woman is, she is still judged primarily by her looks and weight.

She's a bestselling, controversial writer, Princeton grad, and mom.

What the f have you done with your life?

  • I agree. You dont have to be a size 0 and wear ten pounds of makeup to be sucessful.

  • She's an author not a model, morons.

  • What on earth makes you think they doctored the photo? I'm looking at it right now and I'd say it's simply from when she was younger and thinner. Big deal -- she seems like a wonderful, genuine person, a good mom who is happy, and a talented writer. Who cares whether she could be on the cover of Vogue?

  • she did look in the back of change of heart

and btw she had more the two kids not everyone gets back to their origional bodies like angelina jolie and katie holmes

  • If you want to look at a model, buy a fashion magazine for goodness' sake. Maybe she doesn't want bangs and straight hair. I happen to hate bangs. Maybe she's just fine with the way she looks. If you're upset over the way a human being looks, you need to reexamine your priorities.

  • I appreciate her comment about looking at the reality of bullying and its role in violence. Finally we are not dismissing bullying as "boys will be boys."
