  • who has the balls to dislike this song??!! fuk you haters best song ever!!!

  • This gives me shivers...

  • In all honesty, I thought this was the original cover.

  • It's weird, but I always liked the covers of this song better than the original. Heart does a really good version too.

  • God's love in Jesus Christ the true Savior of the world for all who will call on him - all I can think of when I hear this beautiful song. So glad He saved me when I was 16 years old.

  • I just came

  • i don't want this song to end

  • este cover es mucho mejor que el de limp bizkit de behind blue eyes...

  • A Big THANK YOU to Adam Sandler who met Eddie Vedder after a gig in L.A in summer 2006 to ask him to do this cover for the upcoming movie...

Each time I hear this , I think of the movie and each time I think of the movie, I think about this song.

  • jika anda tidak mengenal lagu ini (the Who)..... Mungkin anda tidak menyukainya,......!

  • Great film and amazing song, I almost forgott, how sounds good old grunge voice. Does anybody know, if this song is on any album from Pearl Jam. I found it just as a singl.

  • @goldiecz No. It was covered for the upcoming "Reign Over Me" movie and was never released on any album.

  • Reign Over me is my absolute favorite movie that has ever been made. I can almost cry everytime I watch it. This song by both bands is just.. Simply.. Amazing.

  • @1996Booster i cried twice when i watched that movie

  • they did a good job on this song. still doesnt compare to the raw emotion in the who's

  • what's underrated is shadow of the colossus

  • @olderleo this is true

  • Pearl Jam covering The Who!?!? oh God, this must be heaven

  • @pippo1590 oh you are soooooo right

  • fantastic cover...like it was written for them.

  • Mi cancion favorita, te amo Giovanny!!!! Only love... te amo flakito!!! mi trasher mi guapo arlequin!!! escuchala!!!

  • Hebat juga Pearl jam untuk lagu ini (the Who)..... saya salute.......!

  • Fuckastic!!!

  • This is the closest you get to the feeling i have these days! <3!

  • It sounds better than the who version

  • Sound song by pearl jam it's also at the end of the film reign over me witch stars Adam sandler good film if you haven't seen it

  • All I have to say is that anything from pearl jam is my fav

  • They stole this from The Who.

  • @CCubed1717 but good

  • @CCubed1717

    From Who?

  • @CCubed1717 actually they covered it for the Adam Sandler/Don Cheadle movie Rein over me. Which was really an excellent movie.

  • @mikawhofan I was confused watching the ending of the movie cause I was hearing this song for the very first time and madly wanted to know WHO was singing it and they say on the credits "The Who" so I thought it was them singing it at the ending of it...I know they've written it and its their track but I need to know who is singing it at the ending credits of the movie cause it's totally amazing

  • @mikawhofan Yes, I know that. I didn't mean they literally stole it, I mean their cover is so much better that this song belongs to them now.

  • <3

  • Pearl Jam>>>>>>>>>>

  • Anyone know what album this is?

    thanks ^-^

  • @Mr420rush Ten

  • @Chadwich thx m8

  • @Chadwich no its not!

  • great cover, its on my favs list,

  • @fatboy, I couldn't disagree more. I loved The Who and Im damn near religious about PJ. The raw emotion in it makes the song transcend music to another level you can only feel

  • @1172SHINE The Who were one of the best rock bands ever....it's no wonder so many rock bands of today do remakes of their songs. Vedder did a good job, but Daltrey is the master of this song.

  • A great song for a great movie

  • adam sandler needs to be buggered by Roger Daltry

  • Well Done ... one of the best covers, and truest to the original that I've ever heard ... Roger Daltrey does it better though, seeing as he "gave birth" to it and all ...

  • Saw this in London @ O2 arena... epic...

  • Roger Daltrey beats the hell out of this

  • Best song ever... I feel this better in the original one...

  • can't sleep!

  • just love the who covers by pearl jam!

  • Anynoe else thinking about the adam sandler movie?

  • @Ryahoeee everybody! it's just an amazing song for a great movie!

  • freakin amazin....except the 22 ididots

  • How Eddie sings that part at 2:12 is absolutely amazing and beautiful.

  • okay honestly this is good. i didn't think pearl jam could knock it out of the park but hello stupid me ya got Eddie who can hit those like Pete. but Jimi Hendrix is still number 1 too me. too bad we don't have a machine that could combine certain things from who ever you liked into one really awesome person

  • Video gets me everytime

  • I SEEK POLE SHIFT SURVIVAL GROUP

  • Eddy Veders voice is the voice of a true man

  • this is not a Pearl Jam song!!

  • @castrole21 I know it is a who song but pearl jam did it just as well

  • reign over me GREAT MOVIE

  • SHIT I THINK I

    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

    DID IT WRONG

  • eddie shows more emotion in his performance than any other artist of his generation.

  • @PelicanBay1971 kurt cobain?

  • @WillTheFace kurt cobain didnt show much more than anger to be fair

  • @rockstix yh but his voice you could see emotions just when he was stood playing

  • Reign over me, the movie, The Who and Pearl Jam are so underrated...They deserve way much more.

  • @LVCDR I would never call The Who underrated... they're still a rock phenom as is Perl Jam, The Who sells out the largest venues every where they go, as does Perl Jam... I think it's just true rock in general that is underrated these days.

  • @LVCDR how are The Who underrated? they're already considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time lol

  • @ldp258 lol I was wondering that myself and this is the best Pearl Jam song by far love it..

  • @ldp258 Lol Ikr? That comment made me laugh.

  • @LVCDR The Who and Pearl Jam Underrated ?!?!?!? Everybody love and respect them !

  • @LVCDR Dude, underrated? They are legends in the rock world and they are definitely recognized as such...

  • The best i ever heard this song

  • MERAVIGLIOSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!!

  • a great song!!! <3333

  • This just = awesomness ²

  • the intro is to long

  • It's called 'feeling' and the world will try to stamp it out of you young or old. Don't let it. What God would make a human apologize for their feelings? None. But God knows people will.

  • I think that Eddie Vedder is the only one who can really make me feel the song he's performing.. his voice is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard... and the Pearl Jam is my one fav band sooo ... LOVE IT!! :))

  • I miss you Aunt Kim :( She loved this song...

  • I really don't see how anyone could have a problem with his version of this song. A truly fitting tribute to some amazing people...works for me!

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!

  • I've listened to a lot of PJ and Ed solos and I don't think any performance has moved me more than Ed's vocals here. I love this.

  • I have to go to a funeral tommorow.

  • @DancesOfTheAngel

    im sorry.

  • @Spaminator4000 Why exactly is that funny?

  • Does it really matter which one is "better"? The Who are Eddie's favorite band, and Quadrophenia his favorite album, and this cover is a testament to that fact.

  • Lady gaga got 3billions of views, HEY SOCIETY HAVE SUMTHING WRONG WITH YOU!!!!!

  • @gustinhoflv as does your grammar and spelling...

  • @stutzand21 that's a good one

  • @gustinhoflv Not really, no.

  • wtf, only 343,202 views??? '-'

  • awesome song

  • Who knows which is best? All I know is this is the right version for the Adam Sandler movie. I lost friends in 9-11 and I could never grieve until I heard this song.

  • I prefer the Who's version, but I like what Pearl Jam have done with is- they've really made it their own, and it's a great tribute.

  • Both are perfect, 2 talented groups take on a epic song

  • The Who <3 Eddie Vedder

  • No big fan of Pearl Jam but this is superb!

  • this version is more powerful

  • It shows that how great Roger Daltrey is

There are a lot of lessons which Eddie should learn from his Master, R.D.

  • @Nim000A Im a long time who fan and also a big PJ fan.I really think Eddie does a better version of this song. But thats just my opinion.

  • I don't know why but when I heard this song I feel a burst of pain, coming from the bottom of my soul who just want to get out! I feel how my heart is breaking in to pieces... I really dont know why, I think I'm messed up, big time!!

  • @ju1cycrackfa1ry WHY? LYAO?

  • @ju1cycrackfa1ry If you know anything about Eddie Vedder, you would know that he worships the ground The Who walks on, (read Rolling Stone's most recent Top 100 Artists Issue). This song is his tribute to them, and his performance of it is absolutely humble. However, the scope of human emotion covered in PJ's version far outdoes The Who's. Furthermore, Eddie Vedder, as an artist, shows so much more creativity, talent, and soul than Roger Daltrey ever did. Eddie Vedder has no comparison.

  • @nezballa001 wow i couldnt have said it any better!

  • FANTASTIC, POWERFUL LOVE IT N YES I LIKE THESE VERSION VEEERYYY MUCH

  • being a HUGE Who fan from waaaaay back, it is hard to admit that, yes, i do think i like this cover better! How can that be??

  • i not a pearl jam fan and i think that the who are gods. that said i want to let you know that this is a brilliant cover, really brilliant. most covers are shit - merely playing the original harder, faster, louder. no one needs them ( HI green day !! ). but then there are the good ones : when you feel a bands love for a song ( like i do here ) and when something really new is created - listen to the twilight singers version of "when doves cry". for me THE cover.

  • Adam Sandler can always me laugh never thought he could make me sad to, great movie

  • @ManfromEarth2010 i cried like a boss

  • @rnoka swagger

  • @ManfromEarth2010 that's one of the highlights in the movie... I thought adam only can be comedien, but he was so emotional in this movie... he's a awesome and amazing person

  • It's fine and all, but the "loooooooove" s sound all wrong!

  • im digging pearl jam more, he sings it like a woman just killed his heart... theres more emotion but both singers are crazy talented, soo i guess i dont really have a preferance

  • You all are listening just the voice... but what about the instruments? IMO Pearl Jam's version is much more strong... it gives me much more of everything... U should count that Eddie sang this when he was 43... roger was 29...

  • @Harbert95 "Crown of Thorns" and "Crazy Mary" are amazing covers performed by Pearl Jam.

  • Fucking epic in the movie reign over me

  • i have only just got past the first chorus and i think he has done brilliant with the vocals considering they are 2 completely different singers it is a very good attempt

  • one of a lot of pearl jam's cover which is a little bit more interesting than the original versions of any band. maybe more contemporary, maybe more suitable to my taste... the who has something which i don't understand. maybe i'm too young. but to sum up... i prefer pj's version to the the who's.

  • I think Roger and Eddie both put more or less the same amount of heart into this song. Actually, I think this is one of The Who's most heartfelt songs in my opinion. But Roger's screams are definitely better at the end of the day. Eddie can't scream as well. So I've gotta say The Who's version edges out a bit for me. Even though overall I'm a bigger Pearl Jam fan.

  • @CaptainHollyShort Sorry, The Who's ORIGINAL. I typo'd.

  • Awesome

  • Raw emotion love it, great cover, just like Last kiss, anyone else got amazing pearl jam songs that are actually covers?

  • @Harbert95 do you mean that "aren't" covers. if so, listen to Black by Pearl Jam

  • @igattofatto I know it's from the who

  • @HELLtoTHEnoWAY - Robert Plant, Chris Cornell, Myles Kennedy, Freddy Mercury, Steve Perry, Geoff Tate, James Labrie, Sabastian Bach, Phil Aneselmo, Russel Allen, David Lee Roth --- "Who" else?? hmm.....oh right Roger Daltrey :) ---- no disrespect to Eddie, but he screams on his A's --- let alone D's

  • When you are listening to music, you feel the time it's been played - if we compare 'Love, reign over me' of Pearl Jam and The Who - it's very different:)

  • The first time I heard this was on a VH1 re-run of the original performance. Was housecleaning at the time and had the show as background. This performance stop my cleaning and left me in an emotional stuper like that of the best drug run ever...SIMPLY AWESOME! The who may have wrote it and deserves top honors, but Pearl Jam touched my soul with it. So hats off to them both!!

  • i needed his one tonite

  • both the who and pearl jams version are great

  • I needed this tonight....

  • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!

    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

  • @battie07: ~Thank you!~

  • My favourite version. The rawness of his voice simply cannot be beaten for a song like this.

  • Quite good actually.

  • pearl jam > the who

  • This song has got me through a lot :)

  • This song is amazing live

  • It makes the movie reign over me a million times more emotional hahaha

  • Amazing song!

  • Love this fuckin song . . . Same for even flow

  • The song in the movie is really emotionaly...AGUANTE ADAM SANDLER!

  • epic...

  • I have to agree that Eddie does a better job singing this song.

  • @obamaforprez2008

You know what's joke? That you believed in obama....

  • @obamaforprez2008 yeah how many people have you ever musically influenced? Now think of the millions Eddie Vedder has

  • @obamaforprez2008 Horrible? This cover is fantastic. Shame if you can't appreciate musical talent.

  • @meanmugfan thats like saying yes and no to a yes or no question, Roger Daltrey sings the actual notes better, but Eddie puts soooo much more heart into it, even tho his pitch may be off sometime, and his screams are pretty rough and crude, it has so much heart in it so ill go with Eddies version, but only by a nose

  • @jbeasel123 Sorry dude, I gotta disagree, I think Roger puts as much, if not more heart into it than Eddie

  • there is so much heart the way eddie sings it.... wish i could scream like him.

  • A madness,love it...

  • Musica da melhor qualidade na voz do indescritivel Eddie Veder. Show!!!!

  • this version is more popular than original one :P or at least it seems to me like that

  • @darkmasteron are you fuckin crazy?! Love reign O'er me from Quadrophenia is most famous than that shit !

  • @hihi9764

    You sound like you're 7...

  • you're favourite song by Pearl Jam is a cover? lol and drums are so much better when done by the who but therre vocals are pree good
