  • Woah! what is that? never new they were called Warr guitar. what a re they mainly used to play?

  • Lovely playing mate! Congrats! Did the pickups of your war guitar have te possibility to split them?

  • Hire this guy!! Saluti dal locale di quelli un po meno bravi di te!

  • @Kadavernazion Hi hi grazie!! meno bravi??

    Saluti da Loco

  • very nice

  • Wow... sounds much like flute :D

    Awesome playing 8)

  • Steve Vai , Kids!

  • What tuning is that?

  • Ahhh... Warr guitar. One instrument I'd love to learn.

  • chicks run from this thing... if you played this for a girl her box would turn to concrete... FOREVER.

  • @dbo97 That comment made my day XD

  • dude, this is an awesome video, i love warr guitars and this song is so.....savory? who is the original artist?

  • No doubt, you have skill. But, i just hate that instrument.

You made it worth listening to though.

  • @metalpunk654 Why hate an instrument? Every instrument has something unique and worthwhile to bring to music.

  • what kind of pickups does it have?

  • @julianh100 bartolini

  • @julianh100 "It" lol

  • Such an Inspiration, I need the backing track for this, but it looks likeI'm just going to have to play over Joe's track anyway.. :(

  • dude, that was awesome... i see you're tapping... can you finger pick as well?

  • @taxi911 thanks man

this guitar is made for tapping.. you can pick but it's not the idea for this one

  • how did you transfer from a regular guitar to something like this? I've built guitars for 3 years and i think i'm ready for my ultimate challenge yet, one of these. just seeing if i'll even be able to play it :P

  • just simply amazing

  • @satchy09 thank you!!

  • Hi, I'm very interested in purchasing a Warr Guitar - I'm just wondering how you would describe it's feel to play. Does tapping the notes on an instrument like this resemble the feel of tapping a bass or guitar, or is there less pressure involved... or whatever? Just, how different does it feel?

  • @idshanks Hi,

on "all" tapping instruments there is less pressure involved

since they are made for "tapping"

anyways,my favorit is the "chapman stick"

    thanks,Jan

  • @sprugian Man, thanks for the quick response. And since I didn't say before, let me tell you that all your videos of your touch-style playing are beautiful :P And your playing is very inspiring. One last question, how often do you find you need to replace your Warr Guitar strings? This may be inconvenient for me (living in Scotland :P).

  • These Warr guitars are something else, even better when played well, thanks for sharing.

  • @CentauriFlash thank you!!

  • Great playing! It is just incredible how you play like a thight bass player, and a good lead guitar : )

Only one question: I am also considering buying a tapping instrument, but i can't really decide which one of the Megatar, Warr guitar, and the Stick. I think i will play Mostly jazz, and is looking for the dark rich tone. Which one would you go for?

    Per

  • @flateboo

    Hi thanks!

In my opinion the chapman stick is the best, for jazz too,

    Jan

  • I watched a shatload of vids tonite and this is by far the best. and responding to who you are a cross between id say its more like jesus christ and god

  • Man, that guitar is ugly xD But obviously it won't stop you from playing awesomely good! :D

  • why sunglasses indoors? just curious.

  • @fess04 I think it was meant as a homage to Satriani.

  • nice

  • Absolutely wicked, holy shit. I never knew one of these existed, much less it could do that! Wow, just wow. Great stuff. I'ma go look up more vids of that now, lol.

  • How does tapping on one of these compare to a normal electric guitar? It seems like you only need a very light touch.

  • Oh my, I just shat my pants. That's probably one of the best things I've ever heard. Great tune, great technique, great sound. Awesome.

  • Wicked Job man!!! very sweet!!!!

  • It's artistic, creative, new and original, and highly technical. Thats some piezo sustainer you have, sir. Cheers.

  • haha, I've been watching a few of your videos and was trying to figure who you remind me of. I figured it out. You remind me of Bono and Vai put together. :-)

  • thanks,that's great!!

  • @Guitarmattms08 and snape

  • your cover sounds better than the original version =)

  • thanks!!

  • excelent. absolutaly brilliant.

  • That is very cool. Is this the same instrument I see Tony Levin use on some songs with Liquid Tension?

  • thanks! no tony levin plays a "chapman stick"

    wich is my favorite too

on this video i played a "warr guitar"

  • @sprugian What's the difference between the 2, I've been wondering???

  • that's awesome! it's like 2 people playing to different guitars, excellent man, and yeah i agree, beautiful sound

  • Cool, this is the best track Joe's recorded in years imo. Good job!

  • Now that's inspiring

  • NICE, could I play one of those well if I have fat fingers??

  • @kikoutthejamsman the frets arent small, so unless you have fat AND slow fingers, youre fine

  • Nice guitar work there. Excellent playing. 5 stars for an awesome talent ;o)

  • Those things are flipping epic.

  • brilliant man!

    5 stars

  • thanks man!!

  • um... wow... lol nice job man very very cool

  • thats some intense talent there...beautiful playing..truly an awesome musician

  • this song makes me feel so awesome. weve got the same flow man... just im not doin it on a warr

    great stuff man.

  • thanks Delgift!

  • great playing, bt why are you doing a satriani cover dressed as steve vai?

  • thanks man!

because i still have my hair..

  • Wow, this is freaking amazing, and that Guitar is AMAZING

  • wonderful

  • thank you!

  • Good Stuff, the glasses are a nice touch :-)

  • thanks!!

  • Some of your video's you are holding the

instrument like a guitar. In other video's

you are holding like you would hold a cello.

    Why is that?

  • Hi,it's more confortable playing it in the"cello"

position, because of the left hand angle, especially when you practice for hours

but of course holding it like a guitar looks cooler

    even if you suffer!

  • I love this

  • GRATE! original cover and grate player.

  • what tuning do you use on your warr??? (great stuff by the way, realy like the original compesitions especialy)

  • I actually hate satch, but this being played the way you're playing it on a Warr guitar sounds really gnarly. Good stuff!

  • oops sorry man, i meant to give you a thumbs up...

  • fantastic !

  • sweet!

  • Thats some great coordination there on something that looks like that lol. Sounds pretty good too :)

  • That thing's pretty wicked. Nice work on the cover, how did you manage to learn the song on that?

Oh, and how much are those things anyway? It looks like alot of fun to play but I'm guessing it's really expensive.

  • mazing! :P i wanted to build a stick some months ago :P

  • glad to see someone take the stick somewhere,,amazing work.

  • Thanks, and thanks for subscribe!

  • thanks! it's not a stick it's a warr guitar

  • just wondering is this a chapman stick or is there differnces? I have no idea about these instruments

  • Hi,this one is called "Warr guitar" but the tuning

i use on the video is the same as a chapman

    stick

  • ohhh man!!

    sweet tone!!

i like joe's version, but i very like your version,

    joe should watch this...

  • thanks man!

i hope that joe watch my version some day!

    Jan

  • Someone must have told you by now that this video is in Joe's favorites. (g3joe)

    It's how I found it.

  • Wow that's cool! thanks for your advice!

  • Ahhh man, every vid I watch makes me more determined to save enough to get a Warr.

  • Omfg. awesome. ; O

  • I have owned 5 Warr guitars...Three of which I have seen on youtube since I sold them. This was one of them and I must say, this one had the sweetest tone. Jan, you won't find another like it.

  • Yes it's a nice guitar, just sold my stick so

i will keep these one. It's funny, it seems that i'm

at least the third owner of this Warr, but it is like

    new,strange.....

  • How did you sell them? And if it was eBay or a site similar, do you know if warr guitars are often sold on by people there?

  • not likely cosidering they go for 2000+

and there all custom made, so when most people buy one they would have little reason to sell it

  • Satch :D Cool mec :D

  • Merci beaucoup!!

  • i told to me ...it is a song of joe before to read the title!

yes man...follow your way of this guitar tap!!

    nice playing...five stars! fabien courtois

  • Merci Fabien!!!

  • Thank you again!!

  • So cool! very very good!

  • Thanks!

  • You are very talented, love your version of this song.

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you!!

  • Very good!

  • Grazie mille!

  • sei un fottuto genio, complimenti

  • Ma no dai...

    Grazie comunque!!

  • cool guitar. nice play. 5 stars.

  • Thanks man!!

  • sooooooo niceeeeee :DDDD

  • Thaaaaaanks!!

  • Thanks! in fact it's very simple: both signals

run into one amp with different channels.

The melody side goes trough a effect pedal

(soft distortion and delay)befor reaching the amp,a Crate DX 50 D LIMO,who is made for street musicians,it also works on a 12 volt car lighter adapter, very practical even if i don't play that much gigs in my car.

  • Very nice! Would you mind telling how you're running your signal? Are you using two amps or just a preamp in the melody side?
