I hate the Christians who buy-into their fantasy-land of fire-and-pointy-things. All humanity DOES go to hell---it's not what you think it is. It's not 'a happy place' either--of course--but it's NOT eternal. The only thing eternal about is the doom of those who stay there.
I don't know if the story is real, but I've had a very similar experience. In the truth of the matter it would appear - if this story is real. That the hand of God came down and changed the course of the chalk, however one can simply brush this story with the tassels of "coincidence" just as one can use the "hand of God".
