Technically, he maybe better than any guitar gods (Yngwie, Vai, etc) but why he's not popular. Most likely because he's only good at playng guitar not create real music....

Yeah, never underestimate a guy with this much potential. He could change his style like a chameleon and adapt to just about anything he wants. Those guys that you mention have had years to develop their own sound and people have jumped on board with them. The great fusion guitar players never get extremely 'popular' in my opinion, but they're revered for their musical expertise, and in my opinion Daniele could be a top-tier fusion player if he chooses that path.
