Honestly, I don't get the point of doing TAS runs. What is really accomplished? What skill is showed off? Not game-playing skill; anyone would be able to produce any kind of TAS run given enough time.

@Tatsuhiko What I'm saying is I don't get what's entertaining about a video of "gameplay" that doesn't really show any true skill, but is something anyone with the time can patch together from emulator save state reloading and replaying and cutting into a "video." Of course, you don't clearly label it as TAS so I guess it may be "entertaining" at first if the viewer is thinking this is legit gameplay, before realizing that's impossible, and then realizing the video is therefore pointless.

Can't tell if this is a troll comment. lol As a gamer have you honestly never sat and thought, "Gee... I wonder how long it would take to beat 'insert game' in the most efficient way possible"? As previously stated, they're entertaining. And, yes, they DO require skill a tremendous amount of skill. Sure, someone with lots of time would have a good shot at it, but it requires great memory, precision, and execution to play through any video game perfectly and without dying.

It would be as close to impossible as anything gets to actually do this kind of passive run legit in real time. I don't care if you took the most autistic Rain Man video game playing genius who will ever live in the history of the Universe and gave him one million years; he would not be able to do this kind of run legit. Which leaves us the question: what's the point of TAS runs?

Well, my skills are not at that level, but knowing each playthrough is exactly the same, how enemies will fire bullets and when, i can do do similar stuff, so i have no doubt someone who played more than me and with more skills can do that and more practice can do this without tools
