  • She's Hot.

    Too bad she's so smart.

  • Greece went Galt. Greece fell apart.

  • Oh my gawd, just go Galt already, blabbermouths.

See if anyone misses you, lol!

    ~

  • @thenthelightningwill image life with-out steve jobs

  • Fucking GO bitch! No one will EVER miss you!

  • I wish those rich fuckers would leave on the next comet, so society can get on with life, its a dam shame the rich have to hold the world hostage because they think somehow they are better then the rest of us. Play my way or I'm taking my ball and going home!

  • Malkin is a neocon hyprcrite. I wish she would go Galt and disappear - she wouldn't be missed. She talks about the burdens on "producers" and yet she's a shill for the American military empire. REAL producers and REAL capitalists don't support the never ending stream of wars and the continuous destruction of life and property they cause.

  • @gergenheimer You are from America right? Because if you are you would know that "REAL producers and REAL capitalists" do support war because war is the biggest money making thing out there! Why else are we at war at all? Simply because it make more products for the "REAL producers and REAL capitalists" to make more money off of... so next time before you start talking like an idiot again look out your window :)

  • @PajNta It might interest you to know that the word "capital" refers to the accumulation of productive resources - factories, mining, railroads, roads, etc. This amplified productive capacity makes all of society wealthier - war destroys these things and the lives of human beings as well. The point is, true supporters of capitalism/free markets are also anti-war (see Mises-dot-org). I'll give you a pass on your ignorant statement this time, now go do your homework.

  • @gergenheimer WELL SAID!!!!

  • @PajNta War does not create wealth. War destroys wealth. Where the hell did you come up with that idea?

  • Ronald Reagan knew that high taxes on the best income makers retarded production from his own experience. There doesn't have to be an open rebellion for confiscation of wealth to make an impact on the production of the nation. Going Galt can be as simple as deciding not to work hard enough to make an additional 10K this year.

  • Atlas Shrugged is propoganda for totalitarianism.

Going Galt is like going Hitler or Going Stalin.

  • So, who has actually "Gone Galt?" Anybody? I don't think Malkin has. Cavuto?

Anybody? What a bunch of garbage. If bitching about taxes constitutes going galt, then I suppose they have.

  • @adamsfall

    LOL

You're right. Going Galt means alot more than that, however, if they understand the the full implications of Galt, then this is a start.

  • For every greedy dumb bastard that thinks he is galt and runs off there are about ten thousand more greedy dumb bastards willing to screw the galt and everyone else to get rich. We will never runout of rich greedy dumb bastards.

  • New rule. theist can support rand. they can just STFU and leave.

  • Hey John Galt...if you want to go on strike, just go ahead. No one will miss you.

  • @Txsray wow. You are exactly the kind of person she was writing about. I thought that book was kind of far fetched and all but, the looters do exist.

  • @jlwade3 You must not understand the premise from the book. The point of Galt going on strike was that he was told that he should not be allowed to prosper from his genius, even though the product of his mind and labor (a revolutionary new electric generator) would've benefited all of mankind. So, he decided to withhold his invention and leave the society that claimed him as an indentured servant. You might as well have said "Hey Thomas Edison . . . go on strike . . . no one will miss you."

  • Two idiots above~ The one on the right could be fun..if she kept her shut mouth shut~

  • I think more of these arrogant delusional people should go galt and give other creative people a chance to create wealth. Please go!!

Maybe Ayn Rand did get something right. Go galt!! Just do it!!

  • @dadafish1 Ha have you read any of Rand's work? "give other people a chance"... You are obviously not an objectivist nor hold any degree of stock in your own value. I would really like to see it too. You would soon find your entitlements diminish and the products of those "creative people" a nice diversion to the starvation.

  • All this redistribution of wealth stuff is funny in a macabre kind of a way. It will kill incentives to excel, and it will kill incentives to even break even. Those waiting for the promised land, waiting for manna from heaven , will find themselves out in the cold.

  • example of create wealth , giving loans on a preposterous rates.

No one is going to stop working under high taxes , people will work harder because of the income substitution to maintain their life standards .

  • Rand would have totally disowned this bitch if she was still around

  • Going Galt works in big ways and small. I have always thought and acted with this mindset, I laugh to find it has a nomenclature and it pre-dates me by years.

  • Malkin has backed many of the types of activities that have inspired people to go Galt. What a hypocrite.

  • @bknight009

I don't believe she is condemning "Going Galt". In fact I believe she is favorable to the idea of it.

  • What I really love is: Ayn Rand came from Russia and moved to U.S. wrote novels and books about philosophy and look at the way she had made an impact in the way people think. Just beautiful -- her philosophy is pure truth and make more sense than anything I have ever read. People do in general not make much sense, she does!

  • Republicans - Sacrifice your mind.

    Democrats - Sacrifice your possessions.

Capitalism is intended to be a regenerative economy, where the people at the top are continuously replaced by those at the bottom with each successive generation. An economy that focuses on failure and not being the best that you can: dictatorship, communism, socialism, etc. The conservatives desperately need a new base.

  • Capitalists Against Sacrifice and Taxes (CAST) will shut down the economy on April 15 to protest the idea that sacrifice is good. Join us and take a day off work!

  • The Bush administration WAS a big government, big spending organization. The Republicans are NOT a small government party. And haven't been during 30 years of the so-called Reagan Era. And they wonder why Obama won?

  • Cavuto doesn't ask Malkin the obvious question: how is she practicing what she preaches? If she is one of the few wealth producers, surely stopping her activities should be very damaging to... someone.

The obvious answer to this question is: Malkin's activity is essential to no one except herself. Of course, she'll never agree to an interview with a serious journalist. It's safer to stick with Cavuto and Glenn Beck, who won't show how utterly naked this emperor is.

  • I would LOVE to see a capitalist "general strike". It would save the rest of us a lot of trouble.

  • Hahaha, go read Atlas Shrugged, and get a clue.

  • Look at what happened when capitalists pulled their money out of Argentina. About as close to a capitalist "general strike" I could imagine in a current context. Of course, after their former employees restructured and saved the abandoned businesses without them, the owners came crawling back, trying to collect on what they couldn't manage before.

  • If the "wealth producers" go on strike, how long until the "unworthy" take them down a peg. Do these idiots not realize the "unworthy" outnumber them 99 to 1. How long will society protect the parasites when food and water become scarce commodities?

  • Please Malkin-Go Galt-get a job as a slave Walmart uses to create the crap needed to distract us from the fact that our jobs aren't coming back. Nobles are so put upon when they have to pay a living wage to the lazy serfs! Better yet-rapture on out of here so normal people can create a world that works for everyone. Listening to you whine about how put upon the rich are as they exploit the commoners & look 4 further excuses for their utter greed & selfishness is not just abhorrent, its boring.

  • A-Y-N rhymes with M-I-N-E

If you're going to go on television and reference an author at least learn to pronounce her name.

  • Yeah, I had somebody argue with me that it was ANNE for fuck sakes. I showed them a Youtube clip of her saying her own name.

  • Just goes to show you why Malkin, Cavuto, et al are so incompetent to intellectually defend the American way of life. They think so little of Rand's ideas that, to them, all Atlas Shrugged is about is economics. "Yeah," they think, "Ann (sic) Rand is nice, but we've already got The Constitution. We can stop thinking."

Malkin didn't say anything I disagree with, but I hate to see Ayn Rand trivialized by people who don't understand and respect her deeper discoveries just to fight the Dems.

  • "The world is crashing faster than we expected," said Hugh Akston. "Men are stopping and giving up. Your frozen trains, the gangs of raiders, the deserters, they're men who've never heard of us, and they're not part of our strike, they are acting on their own - it's the natural response to whatever rationality is still left in them - the same kind of protest as ours."

    (HughAkston:DagnyTaggart@MulliganMay31DinnerParty)

  • I wonder how many good minds have been closed because of that.

  • What do you mean?

  • I saw this today live!
