This woman's not actually correct. American Idol is produced by 19 entertainment I believe, while all of the others are SyCo. Simon Cowell doesn't produce Idol, Simon Fuller does. Simon Cowell does however, produce all of the others.

American Idol is dying, and Simon knows it. He's not stupid. He'll jump on another "big thing" and bring it over to America, like X-Factor maybe. With or without Simon, AI has seen it's peak, and the honeymoon's over. It'll be popular for a couple years with Ellen, but for any show to go over a decade is just unheard of. He already makes millions off of Carry and Kelly, so money isn't a concern.

Why wouldn't he leave? Honestly what is the point of the show anymore? It does not produce star "winners" with the exception of Carrie and Kelly. Why? Because the voting public are idiots that can see TRUE talent in front of thier faces. Kris Allen's CD bombed. Debuted at 11 and sank from there. Worst selling idol cd ever. While Adam is going strong debuting at #3 and selling over 300,000. How can the runner up sell more than the winner? Where are the people who voted for Kris? Its just dumb!
