@CrownChanel RO2 Gates was totally a new game...It had no reason to be named RO2 D:~...But RO2 Legend recover the RO1 most important aspects ^^ its like a better 3D RO1...

@CrownChanel Gate of the world was discarded and had cute moteblob character sprites. Legend of the second is the current RO2 now..

True, but the Crusader is much more important part of the former game.

They shouldn't even be calling it Ragnarok having no Crusader class.

That's because Ragnarok (Ragnarök) means the destiny of the gods, that the gods led by Odin will fight Loki before the end of the world; crusaders call this The Holy War, and they are preparing themselves for it, that's the exact reason they exist.

By not having this form of belief, the Ragnarok name is just a disgrace.

@Atompucok hey the game is purely hack n slash and pvp,, in all ragnarok online games, theres no connection to the story about chaos, odin or loki.

@iceboxjay A storyline connection to RO1 is in the works (or so the rumors go), but folks you've gotta realize that Ragnarok Online 2 is not based on Norse Mythology but a comic book called "Ragnarok" that selectively used elements of Norse mythology as a basis.

There are many games in which title and in-game may be completely non-related. originally there was no Crusader in RO, until about 2 years after the game was officially released. wiki said iRO were launched in june of 2003 which is actually not right, because I paid for my first month during the winter of 2002, they shut the server down around January for few months then reopened around summer. which means ro ran for 2years without having crusader. And this is not even beta, so be patient.

@Atompucok At the begining of RO1 there were no 2-2 classes, they were all added in. Before Warp Portal or grav or whatever they like to call themselves put real effort into this game they need to see if it'll be popular with both new and old fans. Sader will most likely make a strong return if this game does well. After all makes better classes than Ragnarok =).

I dunno, The art style and gameplay of the old ro2 were fairly passable. If it was finished and ported over here I'd play it for sure. But this new one looks alright.

why? simple. because to be the CBT its too away from the CBT of the old Ro 2 Gotw

Gotw had too much things implemented than Ro lots.

2.- the enviroments are so cool, BUT are not success, because the colours are so fantastics.. antinaturals,,.... so does city prontera its SO "game of childs."..... i think the graphics, colours of prontera are not yet implemented i think..

Bgm of the intro its cool but, the background stink than old Ro 2.

@igorifico I do miss how expressive the GotW faces were. Characters in GotW seemed genuinely happy or sad or angry. LotS has a problem with having stone faces.

@KyokuroChan It has been said in an interview that Yoko Kanno produced something along the lines of 250 pieces of music for Ragnarok Online 2. For LotS they decided to pick and choose which songs they wanted to still use.

I've heard that the Janus team has accomplished to open the game until the login screen with the new emulator of them.

I believe that soon we will have a private server out there. = P
