He is doing fantastic! Just be really carefull, after playing for almost 4 years without any lessons or coaching a did serious damage to my wrists and forearms! Hitting the plastic (or even rubber) is really bad for joints, check out mesh electric kits (or if that is a bit of an investment for you at least get him some kid sized sticks from your local music store) If little nathaniel ends up to be the best drummer in the world or just likes playing rock band good on him. Keep rocking little man!
